I was there for my birthday, a gift from my hubby.
Amazing, unique, relaxing, romantic, memorable day we had.
I was terribly stressed and wanted to relax and get away from the chaos. This place had it all. Its like a paradise, beautiful, the hot spa pools make you feel like in heaven.
The place is calm, silent and visitors respect it.
Their concept is: hot-​cold– relax & repeat.
For hot, they have: eucalyptus steam room, dry sauna, 3 hot water pools, 1 with jacuzzi
For cold: 3 pools
For relaxing– chairs besides the bon fire in the open, hammocks, rooms with rest beds, solarium.
Washrooms and lockers are big, clean and well equipped.
All you need to carry is: robe, water bottle & flip-​flops; they provide towels and you can replace as many times you want.
Cons: no reservations taken for bath, not many options in café, no night stay options: P
Tip: Visit them on a weekday, wait times can be brutal on weekends and holidays.

Located in Collingwood this spa is very popular. So popular that we arrived at 9:30am and were put on a waiting list for 2pm for the water circuits. We had tried to make reservations for a massage 3 weeks earlier but they were fully booked for the Saturday we wanted. Highly suggest you make reservations way in advance if you want a specific date — this will also allow you guaranteed entry into the outdoor water circuits.
Driving up to the parking lots is on a muddy gravel road (don’t wear nice shoes!).
The reception area to check-​in/​waiting area is small considering the popularity of the spa. You are crammed in while trying to line up to check in. Right beside this area is the small café where you can get soups/​sandwiches and drinks. This makes the area even more congested unfortunately and by 1pm (we git in early) some items were already sold out so ensure you eat something before coming in — don’t depend on the café.
We chose to do the water circuits ($ 55) and the most popular option for the spa. You are given the choice to get a bathrobe ($ 12) or 2 towels (free). Make sure you bring flip flops as you will be walking outside.
Head down the dirty carpeted stairs to the change rooms to your locker (don’t lose tour key that’s one a safety pin!!). It can get crowded on the weekends.
Once outside however here is the magic — the hot pools, the cold pools, the sauna and the steam room are lovely. We went when it was lightly snowing and it was magical sitting in the hot pool with snow blanketing the area!
There are chairs outside (around a fire pit) and a few hammocks which would be nice in the summer.
There is also a relaxing room with chairs/​magazines and ceiling to floor windows so you can relax and enjoy the scenery.
Overall this was a great experience but I’m not sure if I would travel that far for this specifically — it’s just too crowded and there is no guarantee you will get in. If you go on a weekday of course it’s much less busy (i think on Wednesday the circuits are on $ 35). I’m glad I did get the opportunity to experience it and I do think everyone should definitely try it once.
Body bliss in Toronto has water circuits– albeit not outside with the gorgeous scenery.

The baths and saunas are relaxing and enjoyable, however, the massage is mediocre at best. In a group of 4 people no one was happy with their massage experience. So I suggest that you skip that part and just sign up for the hot/​cold pools and saunas.

I used to love this location, iv been to all locations around Canada a few times, after a recent visit i was shocked to see how crowded it had become, as a result of which it is no longer quiet and relaxing I’m not even sure if there is a limit for the people that come to use the facilities.
But if you’re going just to be out doors and hang out with a few friends then this location might be for you.

OMG GOOD LUCK getting in on a weekend. Of course they can’t make any promises, but I called a few days in advance to ask how Sundays are and they said I shouldn’t have to wait. However, I arrived to be told that there is a 4-​hour wait time on the guest list — on a Sunday. Boyfriend and I were then told we could bypass the guest list if we purchase a massage, so we spent $ 215 including tax to enter (that was the cheapest option).
Reflecting back, I mainly had a good time because of my company. It was actually a ridiculous wait time and price to get in. If the spa or service was higher quality maybe it could offset these flaws, but the heated pools were not as hot as we wanted them to be and reversely, the sauna was overheated.
Some rules were applied at Scandinave Spa: be quiet and no photos. Though they will tell you no photos, I saw everyone sneaking photos with their phones and heck, even a GoPro. I don’t really understand why this rule is enforced when it is a great promotional opp for them — I heard about them in the first place from seeing photos shared by friends on social media. Anyway, I snuck in a couple photos like everyone else (can’t stop me hahaha).
Overall, the truth is that this is the closest you can get to a hot spring in Ontario, so it is an experience worth having… it was also nice after a day spent skiing. Lastly, I’m sure we were in unfortunate circumstances with the date we went.
Also: I can’t comment on the massage because we left without receiving it (to get back on time, not related to our experience there).

Everyone needs a bit of pampering. Yes, of course this place is a bit pricey– you’re in an excursion up at blue mountain, this ain’t no mcdonalds! What you’re paying for is the bragging rights of saying you got pampered in this luxurious spa. Many times, if you’re staying at the resort, there are discount packages and even free baths included with your room.
When I came, it wasn’t overly busy in the baths but hell, was I ever fascinated. I know it’s a blessing to get to go in the winter and the serenity of it must be amazing but in the summer, it’s beautiful as well. I love laying on the huge hammocks & then going into all the steam rooms! The steam rooms were definitely nice, except when I walked in on two people making out– isn’t it hot enough in there already?! Staaaahp.
The bathing pools are huge and I remember trying so many times to fully get into the ice cold one but nope, couldn’t do it. Going from pool to pool is an experience so amazing, your body will thank you for it. I wanted to just lay where the jets were and relax there for the rest of my life.
Service takes their time with each customer, which is great but that’s also why it’s slow as you’re waiting for your turn in line. There’s also a café in this spa. which made me want to eat everything.
Pretty good place up in the blue. If you come, you MUST give it a try!

It is always at max capacity so be sure to call in advance and reserve your appointment if you’re doing a massage. We booked a couples massage and included was bath time (which cost $ 50 by itself).
Personally, I think $ 50 for hot baths is kind of ridiculous, but since it was included, I guess it was alright.
Keep noise levels down and don’t bring your smartphones inside the baths as they’re not allowed. Guess they dont you taking pictures of other guests while they’re bathing (which kind of makes sense, for privacy purposes).

I was not excited at all when I walked in. I expect a spa should be quiet and relax but it was not. People were loud both in the lounge area and at the outdoor pools. I expect the change room and bathroom clean and tidy but they were not. I didn’t see any cleaning ladies in the change room nor the shower room during my stay. I assume there might be recycled slippers or rubber slippers to be provided or at least to be provided at a cost. Nope, I felt so disgusting I had to walk on those dirty, wet and full of hair change room floor with bare foot the whole time. Glad I went there with a complimentary coupon from the hotel I stayed, I don’t think I will come here again. I am sorry to say this is not up to my level to be called a spa!

First off, this place is BEAUTIFUL. By far the best outdoor spa I’ve been too. The beauty of the spa def makes up for everything else.
The line up for the spa gets pretty busy so make sure you get there early to get access to the baths. Massages need reservations and is best to get them a week prior to your visit. With all the beauty it makes sense that this place gets pretty busy!
BUT the customer service could definitely be better. The ladies working the desk seem overwhelmed constantly and don’t give much direction to their customers. It’s quite annoying and takes away from the experience. I witnessed one of the staff yell at a lady that she was wasting her massage time all because the customer had been confused on what to do, that was the BIGGEST turn off.
REGARDLESS, def worth checking out if you’re ever around.

Since I’m up north for the weekend, I really wanted to go to the Scandinavian Spa as I missed out the last time I was in town.
So where should I start? So due to the holidays, the spa was extra busy and there is a wait list to get into the baths. Luckily, we got there early as registration started at 9:15am and we got there around 9am. There was a line up to get in, but we were close to the front and got in quickly without waiting.
Truthfully, it is a relaxing and calming place to go to. But I find if you’re just going for the baths only, the spa is a little over-​rated. I think it would be more enjoyable if you made a day out of it. Such as, book a massage, then go to the baths, grab a little bit of lunch in the lounge/​cafeteria area.
So they had about 3 hot baths, 2 cold plunges, 1 steam room and 1 sauna. There were also relaxing rooms you can just sit in and enjoy the scenery.
I enjoyed this place but after about an hour, I was a bit bored as I could only go into the hot bathes, sauna, and steam room so many times before I was over it. I think if you just do the baths, not worth it for the cost of it.
All in all, I did come out relaxed. It was nice to got that relaxation. Definitely good to make a day out of it with massage, lunch, etc. But just for the baths, I probably wouldn’t do it again. Still a nice experience to be outside in the winter and in the water.
The staff there were all so calm, pleasant and friendly. You definitely get the tranquility of quiet time.

To be perfectly accurate, maybe more like 3.5 stars? The trouble is, I don’t believe in tradeoffs. A great spa should be a great spa in all ways. Scandinave is skating on an amazing location, so I think they aren’t bothering to up their game in other areas. We really enjoyed our visit to this spa, but as several other reviewers have mentioned, it’s not nearly as nice as other spas I’ve been to. Because of this, it becomes all about your expectations — if you have been to more luxurious, more accommodating, better appointed spas, you may be less impressed with this one.
The good: The location is stunning, and the pools are very lovely. Sparkling clean, with plenty of space to sit or float or whatever you like. The relaxation areas have good seating and are kept at a nice warm temperature. We loved the eucalyptus steam room, and the dry sauna was also great. We were able to get into the spa around 6pm, and as it got later in the evening, the crowds really thinned out and it was more private.
The bad: Wait times to get in, no reservations policy. It really cuts into your ability to relax! Seems counter-​productive to their biz model to not take resos. But then, the staff doesn’t seem like they’d be able to manage a reso system, they barely seem to know their own names. Scandinave is also capital E Expensive, yet very nickel and dime. Apparently you can rent a robe here — that’s what other patrons that had robes on told me. Staff never offered to rent me a robe, so I had no idea that one wouldn’t be provided at locker, like other spas. The hot pool could be hotter, and better options could be present for hydration — water fountains are kind of gross. Where are the pitchers of lemon cucumber water? At this price, with this wait, more should be provided. Also, water pressure in the showers is weak, and the provided shampoo/​bodywash/​conditioner are lacking in quality.
The ugly: The locker rooms are older and in need of a facelift. At other spas, there is usually a nice range of face and body lotions/​oils/​hair stuff available for freshening up after your spa time — you can sample and then purchase as you leave. They don’t offer anything here (there are blow dryers available, I didn’t see anyone using them). In fact, they don’t even have bags for your wet swimsuits in the locker room. You have to carry your wet stuff to the check-​in desk and ask for a bag. WTF? This is just weak. Another big issue — the locker rooms are rather cramped. I’m not all that modest, but I get that some people are, esp if that is part of your culture. There was only one little change cubby in this locker room, which meant that there were girls changing in all 4 of the actual washroom stalls. This really sucks when you have to pee and just want to get to spa-​ing out already. Management should do something to accommodate more modest customers and still have washrooms available for doing your biz. Also — if you are a modest person, I respect your choice! Please respect me also, and don’t give me dirty looks for not bothering to do some insane towel/​shirt contortion dance rather than just putting my bra on normally. I am far from an exhibitionist, but I can say decisively that breasts are not offensive. We’ve all got them.
Overall, Scandinave is nice, and I’d like to go again. But it’s too bad that we don’t have other, better appointed options available in Collingwood. If you are a Torontoite, Body Blitz is better, no need to make the drive. If you are at Blue Mountain, go — you’ll enjoy it! Just be sure to check your expectations on the waitlist.

Spa was great. Prices are reasonable. Food prices were surprisingly reasonably priced. I like how the spa hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, & relaxation centres are outdoors. If you get a massage here you can have access to the outdoor spa facilities that I mentioned above. Bring your own sandals or slippers. You have to wear swimsuit on the premises. Very relaxing. Love the environment. Its a great place to escape to whether you are stressed, sad, mad, or simply looking to get into a better mood.

When you look at me, you’d think I am so chill that I don’t need to relax. That’s not completely true, you don’t realize I take out my stress on others. I squeeze those squeaky dog toys so hard, those toy cats, spiders, and pigs squeak no more.
I came with friends because to tell you the truth, I have no idea what people do in Spas. A Scandinavian Bath at $ 45.00 (Unwind Wednesdays deal) saved me $ 10.00 for a night cap afterwards. We manned up and said, let’s do this.
Rejuvenate, revitalize, relax…
I jumped all around in Cold Plunge Baths, Hot Baths, Hammocks, Muskoka Chairs, Finnish Sauna, Eucalyptus Steam Bath. I had no routine and no instructions, just a towel {and board shorts}. I kept an eye on others and it looks like no one plays in the Cold Plunge Baths in the fall. I had it all to myself and a few fell leaves.
The design of the place made you feel you’re in the middle of nowhere and farthest away from city and technology, but then I sometimes feel like that at home. If this is a Scandinavian Oasis, I need more time here because my 6′ by 10′ terrace at home simply cannot fit all these naturesque features.
Maybe someday I’ll figure this Spa thing out.

We bought a spa package for this place while staying in the area at a bed and breakfast. We were told to try and get there before noon to avoid the wait list on a Saturday. Wish we had talked to more people because we got there about 11:30 — 90 mins after they opened — and we were told it was going to be a 6 hour wait. We were disappointed because this was the focus of our trip and because there is no reservations being taken we had to just deal with the wait and we were worried we may not even get in at all. We called periodically throughout the afternoon and each time they graciously informed us what # they were at and finally we got a text around 5:15 staying we were in and raced over. luckily we were only minutes away.
We were checked in quickly. And given a brief tour from the window overlooking the spa, informed of the rules (quiet policy) and where to go. We were never told about robe rentals and I assume its because you are supposed to ask. We had brought our own so it didn’t matter. If we did want a robe rental it would’ve been nice to be asked if we would he needing robes as opposed to us having to ask for them. The lockers are a decent size but there’s not a lot of space to move around within the locker room itself. We stayed until closing and left the baths around 8:30 and it was just packed and chaos. I skipped the shower because I would’ve been there until after 9 waiting.
The saving grace of going in so late was how nice the spas looked at night and with the snow falling and accumulating on the ground the aesthetic was just beautiful. The baths themselves were wonderful. Very relaxing. The entire experience regarding the baths, saunas and steam room was really lovely … It’s a shame what happened next ruined the rest of our stay. one of our robes was taken while we were in the sauna. It was a plain white, heavy robe without a hood and quite different from the thinner, hooded robes the spa provides. It definitely ruined the rest of our experience because we were constantly looking for the robe on hooks and on people and never got to fully relax after that. We informed security and the front desk and the male security guy was kind enough to have a walk through and look but there’s not much you can do; given the fact it wasn’t a spa robe I can pretty much assume whomever stole our robe took it home with them. The robes didn’t even belong to us. It belonged to our bed and breakfast and our host was sweet enough to let us take them in order to avoid paying the rental fee. Us not realizing all robes there are white and that you leave them out in the open would’ve maybe had us not taking them at all. It was our first time and we didn’t know what to expect. Shame on whomever took the robe and didn’t return it once they knew it wasn’t theirs.
As mentioned we told the front desk. The girl did have a look but told us the linens go directly to their cleaners but that we should” not worry about it, we will keep our eyes open and let the bed and breakfast know” but they didn’t even take our name or number or anything. Our host at the B&B did mention they know them well so I can only hope that’s why the girl didn’t take any info but it’s a pretty crap way to take a complaint about a stolen article of clothing. I’m glad I left my jacket in my locker and didnt hang it up in the common area like many others because clearly there are thieves roaming around.
Most of the people that got in at opening time must’ve left between 3−5pm which makes sense as I don’t see why you’d want to be there for more than 4 hours. There is no time limit and you stay as long as you want but it would be nice that there was a limit because it would alleviate people waiting almost 6 hours to get in.
It was my first time at the spa and I will definitely return but after the experience I had there are a few things I’ll do differently for sure. When I bring my mom this spring I’ll be better prepared.

I’ve been to this place a few times and everytime I feel so relaxed and rejuvenated. The hot-​cool-​rest phase is a hit plus the sauna and eucalyptus steam room, I highly recommend this place to my friends!

Couples get away. So much fun. It really is a perfect escape from the city.
However, the Montréal location is better by far.

Three words– heaven on earth.
Scandinave is the ultimate in relaxation, rejuvenation and pampering yourself.
There are warm and cold pools outside, a sauna, a steam room (very intense in a good way) hammocks (good luck securing one) Muskoka chairs and fire pits.
It is such an amazing way to spend a day. I have only gone on warmer days but I hear it is quite magical in the winter as well.
My only complaint is the food options. They are very expensive and not that great. I would suggest eating prior or bringing an energy bar. Make sure you bring a water container as there are refill stations all around and you will need to rehydrate.

BOTTOM LINE: It’s just one of those things: When you have a unique (and great) core product, you can afford to skimp on everything else and people will still flock to you.
Let’s get this out of the way: the outdoor baths, and the sauna and steam rooms are amazing — it’s really what you’re paying for. It’s popular alright, but if you get there right when it opens (or even a bit before), you’ll get in no problem. I didn’t get a chance to try their massages.
For the price of admission, however, I found the rest of the experience lacking compared to competitors (well, none really in the Collingwood area, but compared to spas around the world). I made it a point to inform staff that it was my first visit and they didn’t bother to even giving a rudimentary orientation. Further, although it’s listed on their website that their robe rental service is extra, it’s not clearly displayed when you enter. It’s annoying enough that it feels like they’re nickel-​and-​diming you (their Montréal branch includes the robe with their entry fee), but they didn’t even offer it to me (and I purposely didn’t ask just to see what would happen) until I brought it up AFTER paying my entry fee. Seems like they can’t even nickel-​and-​dime you right.
Onwards and inwards! The locker room was functional, if not somewhat ghetto — it reminded me of my high school gym. They ran out of body lotion on BOTH dispensers and it wasn’t refilled in the 4 hours I was there. Their $ 25 dollar meal combo was sad, providing you a sad wrap, a sad bottle of generic juice, a sad cookie, and a sad cup of tea/​coffee. At least their soup was tasty! And thanks for throwing in the «free» water bottle.
All in all, if you find yourself up in this area, it’s definitely worth a visit. Just get there when it opens and temper your expectations, and you’ll be fine.

I had an amazing time at Scandinave Spa. The hot spa-​cold pool-​rest cycle felt great and was so relaxing. I was scared of the cold pool at first (it’s seriously cold, and the lady at the front mistakenly told us to sit in it for 10 – 15 minutes instead of 2 seconds-​2 minutes — mildly terrifying!), but after quickly dunking your body in the cold water, your skin feels amazing. The steam room was great too, albeit super hot and you really can’t stay long.
The massage was very nice, and a better value than just going for the baths alone (and you avoid the waiting list!). My only minor criticisms are that they don’t provide you with a robe and sandals for the day (you have to bring your own), and the magazine selection in the sitting areas were terrible (we got to choose between a golf magazine and a magazine about babies, soooo bring your own book if you like to read!). But the experience was so nice and relaxing, the pros far outweighed those minor cons.
I think going in winter might be nicer than going in the summer. Something about snow falling gently on your head while your body is submerged in hot water is really amazing.

Stunning spa experience. We came here on a girls weekend in the off season (dec 16). Busy season was starting on the 19^th. We booked massages and spent 1.5 hours in the pools and the steam rooms. Really enjoyed the tranquility. I appreciated the no talked rule because it gave me time to just relax and have quiet time. It was slightly annoying that some people don’t respect the quiet. There was more then sufficient space in the pools and steam rooms; especially the cold pools I really enjoyed the eucalyptus room although I had to take it in small doses as it was hard to breathe. Overall very enjoyable experience and can’t wait to go back.
