Stay away from those old tanning beds. I came to Tantastic a few years ago and after a short session, got a burn blister on my nose two days later. This year, I used a couple of other beds elsewhere and had no problems at all. I was at Shoppers’ World one day before our vacation, and wanted to touch-up the tan. I figured, having a base tan, I would be safe. I explained to the receptionist the blister incident from a few years back but was reassured the bulbs were updated and I would be just fine. She said I could go in for 15 – 20 mins, but I chose 10 only and I covered my nose with Kleenex just in case. Well, the joke’s on me: two days later, a huge burn blister on my nose again. I’ve learned my lesson but wouldn’t want anyone else to have this unfortunate experience.

I was fairly happy with the work done until I was alone to dress. I had a waxing, and once completed the technician(whose conversation was lively and I greatly enjoyed) didn’t clean off the wax thoroughly so I was left to walk around some what sticky after that. While dressing, I noticed a small open safety pin on the work table where I had just been lying. It didn’t poke me, but I was not too happy to see it there. The technician left the dirty(?) sticks, wax and cloth on the table with me. I feel that while Tantastic had many tanners come and go while I was waiting for my appointment, I will not be back for any aesthetics work. The actual work was fine, but it just seemed to be everything else that made me not want to go back again
