I was very disappointed with the service I received last night. I attempted to organize a celebration for my husbands 30th birthday party and I have never felt so disrespected in my entire life. I had made reservations for a party of 35 over a week ago. When I arrived with some of my party I was refused to be seated because I did not have half of my party with me yet. What was the point in making reservations? My sister, who is 7 months pregnant was expected to stand at the packed bar and wait, meanwhile many available tables in our section were just sitting there empty. The manager continued to refuse to seat us. As the night continued the service continued to get worse. My plan was to provide appetizers and 7 team pitchers for my party. I had to beg to get the team pitchers brought out. We only ended up getting 4 out of the 7 because the managers refused to bring them out. Not all of my friends are beer drinkers so they asked our server for an order for another type of beverage. That’s when we were told the managers had said not to serve any other alcohol to us because we do not have enough food on the table… It was 9pm most people have had their dinner by then, however many in fact did still ordered meals. Every single move we made was being watched by the managers like we were children. My party consisted of people between the ages of 28 – 40. Never have we ever experienced what we went through last night. One friend bought a few birthday shots for the birthday boy and a few friends and 4 managers ran over and watched them take it all with angry looks on their faces. How embarrassing. I asked for a glass of red wine which was not available, as were many types of drinks, at the bar on the balcony(which is where we were seated) so I went downstairs(in order to save the bartender from leaving her busy bar to go down and get the wine) to order my drink where once again I was refused because once again the managers made a comment to not serve my party. I am not exactly sure what we did to offend the managers last night. As soon as I walked in I felt judged. No one was intoxicated or rude. We in fact tried to be very polite and felt sorry for the young servers who were put in such an awkward situation because of their managers. So I do not know why we were treated like garbage last night. I think we deserve an explanation and a big apology. What hurt the most is when I tried to voice my feelings to two managers and they both turned their heads, ignored what I was saying and said«oh well, have a nice night.» Extremely unprofessional and rude. I can tell you right now I will never return to this establishment again. I will never celebrate or organize any event or holiday at your restaurant and I will advise all who I know do avoid this place as the service was hurtful and embarrassing. I was mortified that I invited friends and family to this establishment to be treated this way. With the holiday season upon us, I strongly encourage others to not hold their holiday parties at this venue. You will be greatly disappointed. It’s not worth it! There are many other places in Brantford that would love your business regardless of how«well» they are doing. With other reviews I’ve read that are along the same lines of what I just said, hopefully wacky wings actually takes this into account and shapes up!

Went here with some colleagues for lunch last Friday. There were 6 of us in total. I arrived last so I’m not sure about the wait time but there were only 2 other tables seated when I arrived. First of all the service left MUCH to be desired. The server was slow and kept making excuses for everything. Instead of saying«sorry, my bad» or something along those lines, she would make excuses for everything. She messed up 3 of my colleagues’ orders. One ordered a salad with chicken and it came without chicken. Another ordered the club hot dog but was given a club wrap, and the other asked for boneless wings and was brought regular wings. My colleague with the hot dog sent the wrap back and got her hot dog like 20 minutes later. And it was cold when she got it, although the onion rings were very hot. It was clear they had the hot dog sitting at the window while they cooked her onion rings. My colleague who ordered the boneless wings sent the regular wings back and was given 5 boneless wings when she was supposed to get 6. They brought my other colleague’s chicken for her salad separate. All of this would be forgiven, especially since our server was a newer employee, but she would not accept responsibility for anything and would make excuses. She told my friend with the salad that she thought she had pushed the button for the chicken for her order but the system didn’t pick it up or something, and she told my other colleagues that she didn’t hear them say«hot dog» or «boneless» when they ordered. If she had just apologized and said she would be more attentive in the future, it would have been much better received. At bill time they took off $ 3 from my friend with the missing wing’s bill, which was ok. They then took 40% off my other colleague’s bill for the hot dog issues. Both really should have been free or much more significant discounts, imo. Then to top everything off, service was EXTREMELY slow. It took about 15 – 20 mins for the server to bring my water after I asked for a glass. Then it took another half hour or so for our food to come out(the first time). Another server/manager delivered our food and took back the wrap and wings, but it still took about another half hour before the correct(ish) orders arrived. Then it took FOREVER(probably another 20 – 30 mins) after we finished eating to get the bills. And that was only because two of my colleagues asked someone at different times. Seriously, there were literally 2 other tables there this whole time… I also want to add that the food was absolutely tasteless and inconsistent. I had a club wrap and onion rings. I got about 6 onion rings whereas the other person who ordered onion rings had at least twice as much(consistency). My club wrap tasted like lettuce. I could see the other ingredients but all it tasted like was lettuce, ie. water. Another colleague had the club wrap, too, and said the same thing. You would think the mayo would provide some taste at least, but nope. Suffice it to say, this will have been my first and last time at Wacky Wings. My colleagues have been there once or twice before and said service/food was«ok» and one enjoyed their other time there so that’s why we chose to go there. We all said we wouldn’t be back. Just lost 6 customers who also have families and friends they will share this experience with. And one person who will write the occasional Unilocal review ;) P. S. At one point another server came over to tell us how they were expanding their menu to add a lot more awesome items like nachos and other stuff. Under my breath(I’m not that much of a b*tch) I suggested that they concentrate on getting the basics down first because they obviously can’t handle the menu that they already have…

I was very disappointed with this restaurant. For a place that has«wings» in the name they have VERY disappointing wing. They are very small and are rather bland. The server brought my friend parm onion rings instead of fries. It took them 22 minutes to replace the order and by that time everybody was finished eating so we cancelled them. We were still charged for he fries despite taking over an hour to get them and never eating them. The playdium is nice but the tropical outside conflicts with the sports bar inside. Lots of things need to be changed and soon

Good food. Cool atmosphere, I have seen others complaining about service, but it may have just been because it was new. I have been a few times with my family and the food was always good and I had no issues with the service. I also really love going to playdium when we are there. I plan on going again soon!

Terrible. I have tried TWICE to give them my business without receiving any service. Both times I stayed for half an hour without being acknowledged. I will never return and will certainly encourage others to do the same. It’s too bad really. They could have been a slam dunk in brantford. Maybe spend some time training your staff instead of focusing entirely on appearances… but it looks like the first impression has already been made.

Went there very excited to try the food. The food was terrible, bland & the manager was rude when we spoke with him. This place is a waste of money. The look of the inside is cool & fun, but don’t bother eating there.

Worst customer service ever. Went in @ 4:00 pm with 6 other people, told the waiter that 2 of us had to be IN a dance recital @ 6pm, our appetizers showed up at 5pm and dinner didn’t arrive until 5:45 … not enough time to even eat it, let alone enjoy it. Spoke with the manager who told us the waiter didn’t even put the order in until 5:20, apparently he was too busy helping other wait staff. Sorry but a 10% discount for this crappy service on a $ 175 tab just doesn’t cut it. Don’t waste your time on this place there are lots better in Brantford.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Had to wait for a table and the host wouldn’t tell us how long the wait would be. He ‘preferred not to tell wait times.’ Also, if you want to split a pitcher with a friend you can buy a 32oz or 80oz pitcher, where’s the standard 60oz? We were also told that we couldn’t start a tab at the bar because it was too busy. Too busy must be 15 people. Stay away! The most entertaining part of our visit was watching the bartender attempt to open a bottle of wine.
