Historique

Fondé en 2004.

Originally Metro Performance Taekwondo Studio was incorporated as Olympic Taekwondo Academy and pressure from VANOC prompted the name change. Upon opening the doors in 2004, with no students Metro Taekwondo has grown through the years by focusing on the community feel of the school and treating its customers fairly and with respect. Today Metro Taekwondo Studio has expanded to offer classes to children and older adults as well as mixed martial arts training (MMA) and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. In January of 2013 we will also be offering an indoor cycling program to those only interested in fitness.

Taekwondo, similar to Karate, uses the hands and feet predominately as tools for self-defence and has been in practice in various forms for over 2000 years. If you’ve ever been curious to learn there is no better time to start than now.
