The staff at Gord’s Running Store will do their best to help find what you need to make your exercise more comfortable… we also have one of Western Canada’s best inventory of the Moving Comfort Sports Bras to choose from as well.

Historique

Fondé en 1990.

Gord started in the Running business in 1985 as a part owner/​manager with the original Running Room (Calgary 10 St. location) and was forced out of that relationship as his focus on fitting shoes didn’t mesh with their focus on the higher margin on clothing sales, therefore after resolving his partnership with them (Tessie Junio and John Stanton) Gord’s Running Store opened for business and today still focus’s on the importance of the fitting of the shoe as it is what comes between you and the forces you create when exercising. The original location was on 14 St. NW (just north of Kensington Road) and then in January of 2000 we move to our current location on Centre Street and 9 Th. Avenue NW.

Gord Hobbins has been in the Running Retail industry since 1985, is an active runner from the 5 Km up to 100 mile trail runs, has competed in triathlons from the sprint up to the ½ Ironman distances and track and field from the 400 m up to the 3000 m Steeple chase. Does coach a weekly interval run program for the Eau Claire YMCA, run’s a once a week group run from Gord’s Running Store on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 PM and has helped various groups with programs and presentations for shoes, clothing, sports bras and accessories as well.
