Historique

Fondé en 2012.

Impact has been around a long time. We started off small and have had some different business names along the way. We were even known throughout Calgary as the husband and wife CPR team. This is how we got our start. Putting ourselves through school by teaching First Aid and CPR courses we realized we had a passion for teaching. We saw a gap in industry of quality training by people that had a passion to teach, but rather experts in a field that were paid to lecture others on the hard skills of their trade. Having sat through countless training courses, seminars and lectures and sermons where I came out with a fuzzy head and wondering what the H-​E-​Double Hockey Sticks just happened not being able to take any tangible skills with me that I could practice and master; I thought to myself, there had to be a better way.

I have a passion for teaching and training people in new skills. With a background in counselling/​psychology, public speaking, people management and skill development facilitation, I have strong skills in assessing and understanding how, what and why people are learning. By engaging the student with the learning process and incorporating entertaining, thought provoking and even humorous activities I help bolster confidence by strengthening competence. Outside of work my latest craze is my new baby girl — watching her grow makes my world spin round. When her and her mom aren’t keeping me busy, I like to sneak away to my Dojo, where I train and hold my blackbelt in Shotokan Karate (my other passion in life).
