Lindt Chocolate Shop – Calgary

Just the fact that they sell a huge variety of Lind Chocolate is worth a few stars. But they also have pretty good deals AND you get a free truffle every time you come in. Free chocolate! All that deserves 5 stars.
They really have a big and good variety of Lind Chocolate, you will very likely find things or flavors you have never had before. Staff is very friendly and helpful!
You might want to give yourself a spending limit before you enter the store though :)

Never have I bought $ 80 worth of chocolates in one go, until I stepped into this store.
Are you a chocoholic? Then step in, and be swept away into a world where dreams are made of milk chocolates, hazelnut, dark chocolate, nougat, wasabi sprinkled, orange laced, booze-​filled smooth velvety chocolatey goodness. Do you have a chocolate problem? I ain’t your life coach or your nutritionist, so dont look at me.
Any type of Lindt chocolate ever invented seems to be sold here. Or maybe I dont know any better, but I dont need to! The store is packed wall to wall with delicious Lindt goodies, some disgustingly good bulk Italian chocolates and Ghirardelli! Yeah, you cant go wrong. Whether you’re looking for boxes for presents, or just bags of bulk chocolates for yourself to keep in your car/​office drawer to munch on in times of emergency like a sane healthy person, this is the place to go.
They even have a hot chocolate/​coffee bar there. So you can supplement your bulk chocolate buying with a cup of frighteningly good hot chocolate. Dont even try to behave/​moderate/​deprive yourself. Because that would be sad. And nobody wants to live a sad life.

This place has saved my bacon twice for events. Need table decorations? A thank you gift? The pick and mix bulk bins here are a life saver! My only complaint is they don’t have any larger size bags, so if you need a lot of bulk, like I did, you are kind of hooped.
The ladies who work here go around and will offer samples.
There is the entire Lindt chocolate arsenal available to choose from and I think the part that intrigues me the most is they make Lindt chocolate hot drinks!
I have never wanted a Lindt Chocolate Mocha more than anything, but I had bought too much chocolate and would not have been able to balance carrying the bags and a hot beverage at the same time.
Word on the street is the white chocolate mocha is the way to go and they will give you an extra shot of espresso for no charge.
So come here for all your bulk chocolate needs, baking, gift giving or just stuffing your own face, this place is where it’s at!

Oh, yes I did! But I was rather well behaved I would say and only walked out with 2 bars.
The first things you notice when you walk in is how clean, cool, vast and well-​staffed this store is. I have never seen that much chocolate in one place before!
It was all well laid out and the ladies were super helpful without being annoying, allowing one to peruse the store and drool, drool, drool!
I got the white chocolate with coconut and extra creamy milk chocolate bars. I always stick them in the fridge, they keep very well.
A little sample is offered when you arrive, milk or extra dark, don’t mind if I do! Then I had to walk 18 blocks to shake it off but it was worth it!
There is a special where if you buy about 100 of the chocolate balls, assorted, it comes to $ 30. Great if you wanted to please the folks at your office. I really want to try the coffee one, that will be the next trip.
Prices reasonable as it is an outlet store.
They have almost every flavor you can imagine (even wasabi in bar form) and there are a lot of boxed varieties for gifting.

My fella and I went here during their grand opening to get our chocolate on. Party in my mouth! Free samples were abundant, and bought so much chocolate for so few dollars.
You can get Ghiradelli chocolate ships here for less than the stare brand at the grocery store. Yes, that is correct. Your banana bread is about to go from an 8 to a 9. Holler.
One star was lost because we waited in line to pay for 15 minutes! There were only two couples ahead of us in line, but the ladies at the register were chatty.

A huge thank you to Crystal for bringing Lindt Outlet Boutique to my attention. My quest to frequent as many businesses affected by the flood (Mission, downtown, Kensignton, Bowness, Chinatown) began at Lindt, in which I bought the following: 2 bags of almond balls, 2 boxes of white chocolate balls, 1 box of milk chocolate balls, 3 boxes of dark chocolate balls, 2 large bars of chocolate, 32 packs of hazelnut and peanut butter balls. Grand total was only $ 72.00. Most of the items ranged from 35% to 65% off, but no discount on the chocolate bars. I plan to use all of the chocolate in my baking — so this is an awesome score for me.

I could have written this update three days after I wrote my initial review. That’s how awesome this boutique is. My spouse and I purchased an INSANE amount of chocolate for a jaw dropping low price due to in-​store discounts and the 25% discount coupon we had in hand.
We each tried a beverage and I enjoyed my mocha so much that I chose not to try his cold beverage too. I didn’t want to ruin the afterglow of the hot, chocolatey goodness. If you’re a true milk chocolate lover, I’d say Lindt is making one of the best mocha’s in town. My spouse really enjoyed his cold hot chocolate and don’t doubt for a second that I’ll be back to try this and every other available beverage on the menu.
One of the most amazing discoveries was the Peanut Butter Lindt balls. You can’t even compare them to peanut butter cups. It’s decadent and I didn’t ask, but it could be a limited item and not available at any given moment. We tried other limited items too but in retrospect, the only thing I wouldn’t eat again is the Champagne Lindt ball from my first visit. I thought I saw everything during my initial walk through, but after this second visit, I realized I had not. It pays to return multiple times because of the vast amount of chocolate to view and the changes in product. And to try multiple drinks.
Clearly I’m crazy about Lindt and didn’t even know it! It will be a fun little shopping experience for out-​of-​town visitors too. With this new kid in town, Bernard Callebaut’s flare has turned to fizzle as far as I’m concerned.
