In 2001, Michelle launched a small nanny referral service with one pager, five nannies and a determination to never find herself without reliable childcare. Nannies on Call is now a bi-​coastal company with over 400 nannies.

In 2007 Business in Vancouver highlighted Michelle as one of Vancouver’s brightest stars in 40 UNDER 40, and in both 2008 and 2009 Nannies on Call was ranked #14 on the list of «Biggest Women-​Owned Businesses in BC». Michelle trains Pacific Assistance Dogs and lives in West Vancouver with her husband and two daughters.
