Location is great and their seatings are comfortable but, that’s all I go for ,
Their drink and food are horrible
I try to like it because of the convenience from my place but, if you improve the food quality, the space is comfortable.

Food, drinks and service here are great. Only thing I dislike is the poor waitressing

On the positive side of the ledger the iPad ordering process is innovative and works well. I suspect a lot of people are attracted to the restaurant by this.
Unfortunately the less positive side of the ledger far outweighs the draw of the technology. In my opinion the quality of the food would be acceptable in a food court but I expect better in a sit down restaurant. My ginger chicken reminded me of something you would find in a grocery store freezer and heat up in a microwave. My coconut milk tea was quite good (and I’m not even a tea drinker) but my daughter’s hot blueberry tea was really unappealing.
The speed of service also left a lot to be desired. It took quite a while to get our food and 20+ minutes after finishing our meals I finally had to walk to the front to find out if our desserts were coming. Even after that step it took another 10 minutes for them to arrive. After the long wait it was extra disappointing that the black sesame ice cream turned out to be one of the worst desserts I’ve ever experienced; the awful taste perfectly matched with a dry, crumbly texture. My daughter’s green tea cheese cake was quite good.
Overall experience was a 2 (1−½ if that was available) but maybe we caught them on an off day.

Decided to give this place another chance after the extremely bad experience a few months ago. Since the service was rock bottom, I thought it can only improve from there. But I was proven wrong and the place took customer services to the next new low level. I ordered a very simple tea drink with syrup. The girl that took my order does not how to make the drink and the person that make drink was in the washroom. That is okay, so I waited patiently for the drink guy to finish his business. Finally, he came out from the washroom and start making my drink immediately. He DID NOT wash his hands nor change his gloves in front of me before making the drink. I politely asked him to re-​make my drink after he change the gloves and he rudely told me that he washed his hands (with glove on) in the washroom. Personally, I don’t like my BBT with potential washroom scents and germs. It is too much to ask someone to wash the hands before serving customers? If there is zero star rating or negative rating, Tea Funny is definitely getting that from me.

Food is average at best. Service is adequate, however, for the price they charge, I expect more. Server seems to have issue with smiling and seems like they don’t want to be there. I even see customers ask to leave because they question the food/​drink prep time. It is sad what the food industry has come to. Well, last words, if you have any expectation, simply this place is definitely not the place for you.

Open late! The bubble tea I had was good. Lots of flavour choices. Kind of neat ordering from an ipad. Nice inside too, good place to read.

Ipad to order is awesome. The speed is relatively fast. The drinks and food were not too good considering the price paid. However, Its a really nice to go with friends and just chat about stuff.

Love love love their salt and pepper chicken wings! Drinks are just ok… Could be better. Hot drinks should be hotter. Love the atmosphere and booths. Great hang out place. Opens late. Kids love the iPads and free wifi!

I only really come here for takeout BBT. I like that they have half price BBT at certain times and the ease of ordering on the iPad. They’re really quick and you’re out the door with your order within 5 minutes if they’re not busy. A major plus is that theyre always friendly!

The ambience is great and the service was fine. The quality of the food was poor. The food tastes like it is low quality — made from powders and mixes, very artificial tasting. I would not return for this reason.

So I decided to give this place a try cause everywhere else is closed, worst bubble tea place in Calgary! none of their drinks looks appetizing. My strawberry green tea looks like a green and red diarrhea, supposed to be a cold drink it was warm which is disgusting. I even saw them putting tap water and little of a tea. Also my girlfriend ordered a fried scallop she got a stomach virus because maybe the scallop has been store for way too long. I would never go back there again and I do not recommend anyone going in. Don’t be fooled by its nice décor your just wasting your money. Don’t even know why this place has 4 stars rating when all the people I know think it sucked.

Excellent experience at Tea Funny! I was delighted to discover their use of iPads for browsing the menu and ordering. They have several variations of tea and bubble tea as well as a few delicious appetizers and entrée options. Our food turned out great and was quick to arrive. We were surprised by how well priced it was too! The atmosphere was pleasant and the restaurant was clean. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place especially for a cute date!

The milk tea could have been stronger, but still Ok.

Super well priced, fast service, efficient with ipadsbin table for bill review and menu, and pearly white clean.
A must spot for all bbt and asian tapa lovers!

Dude, this place is awesome. Clean and pretty looking, and you hardly have to speak to a human! Haha. (I’m so antisocial)
Their vast menu is presented on iPads at each table, you order right there within seconds and the order is sent to the kitchen.
Wings are super yummy and cheap and the drinks are also reasonably priced and delicious, really you cannot have a better bubble tea experience. I’m a new addict!
Tip: avoid the lunch hour as it fills up with loud high school kids! Youths!

This is a clean, cool looking place with a dash of fun, making it a cool nook to hang out with some friends for teas and snacks. I like the wall stencils that look like street signs that I can’t understand, but with added hearts. Wow, that didn’t make sense at all! Well, it will make sense to you when you go. Along with the various sized aloe plants in happy face pots, it ads some cute quirk to the room.
There’s a little bit of a learning curve to ordering from the iPads in the middle of the table. If it’s your first time here, you might need a quick tutorial but once you figure it out it’s really beneficial because. um, because there’s an iPad in the table? I don’t really know what the benefit is. I guess it saves you from having to get up an move the 8 feet to the counter and placing your order. Our hot milk teas took around 15 minutes to arrive. I think they may have forgotten about us, but I might have just been using the iPad wrong. Without a person it’s really tough to say.
The hot guava milk tea I ordered was super tasty — it wasn’t too hot though, which makes me think they might have missed bringing them out right away. Altogether though, Tea Funny seems like they’ve got their act together and I’d definitely recommend it as a fun alternative to coffee shop hang out.

Pretty good bubble tea and snacks.
Interesting concept with the ipad’s at each table for ordering. But the screen cannot be turned off, so it gets pretty distracting. You can also surf the web, in case the friends you’re sitting with aren’t interesting enough.

They have great staff who are friendly and seem to remember who i am when i go back. I love how HIGH tech they are with their «order with ipad» thingy.
Food is good i like the mix of asian and western appy style. I love the variety of drink and they are fast in my opinion.

Tea Funny: Tea Time, Fun Time! is a new joint that serves bubble teas, other specialty drinks, chicken wings and snacks.
After stuffing our bellies with late night sushi, my friends and I decided that we wanted to check this place out. Tea Funny is located on the west side of center street. You walk up a small set of stairs and enter a bright white room with cute light fixtures and some old pop music playing in the background. We took a seat at a booth, the neat thing about tea funny is that they have built in iPads in the tables to view the menu, you can place your own order right at your table and it goes straight to the kitchen. You can also use the web browser if you wanted to! The crappy thing is apparently they don’t have a plug in so one of the iPads at our table was already dead and after we ordered, the other iPad died. Anyway, their menu consists of categories: Flavored Milk tea, Red/​Green tea, Slush, Specialty drink, Real fruit drinks, Chicken wings, Entrée, and Snacks. We decided to go with a drink each and then have some chicken wings even though we were already stuffed.
I asked the server what she suggested for a milk tea and she said told me the original milk tea was the best so I went with that and my friends ordered the mango slush with mango jelly and the almond slush drink. For the wings, we ordered honey garlic and spicy teriyaki. The drinks arrived shortly and I wasn’t impressed with my milk tea, it was pretty tasteless to say the least… but my friends enjoyed their slush drinks! I tried the mango slush and it was AWESOME. Next time I will definitely go with a slush drink! The wings were pretty good. They were fairly big, covered in sauce. We really enjoyed the honey garlic but weren’t really big fans of the spicy teriyaki, it just didn’t taste like teriyaki.
Overall, this place is a totally cute joint! You must check it out for some late night bubble tea and wings! I will definitely try some other snacks and a new drink! Hours are Mon-​Thurs from 11am — 1am, Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 12pm — 2am!
