Historique

Fondé en 2009.

The SilverLeaf started by making soaps using the much needed essential oils to scent the soap. Buying essential oil wholesale was much more economic. Soon there was plenty of essential oil and we began selling it. People said well you should really have oil burners and it snow balled from there.

Single Mom of 5 children one left at home still. Born and raised in Calgary but moved to rural Alberta once number one child was born. Moved back summer 2009 to begin a new life… Come on life lets go!

On a spiritual journey myself. I seem to be drawn towards shamanism. I love to use herbs and crystals for healing purposes for myself and my family. I have no formal training in any of that just what I have experienced.

A nice little shop located inside Crossroads Market. I went there this weekend to check it out and to see what they sold as I only just found out about this store through their stall at Lilac Festival. They do have a lovely variety of local and handmade incense sticks that are nicely priced and come in a very wide variety of scents. They had a lovely selection of crystals, in wand and point form, as well as tumbled and even crystal balls. I noticed a wide selection of herbs and resins behind the counter and I will definitely be back to check those out further. I saw a great selection of Tarot decks for sale which I was impressed by, as well as drums and instruments and even some lovely jewellery in the cabinets. The lady behind the counter was very nice and helpful even though I wanted to purchase a little cauldron for myself but was told they didn’t have any at that moment, which I found a little bit odd considering they appear to sell a variety of ritual items. But other than this, I had a nice positive experience at The SilverLeaf, I would shop there again but maybe call in advance to ask if they sell any particular specialty items I am after, but I am still glad I dropped by because I left with some lovely incense and a nice experience and a new place to go for any supplies I need. They seem to fit a lot of great items into such a small space, and if you are interested in Pagan and Wiccan supplies, even New Age items, it is worth a visit for sure!
