I confess, I am a UofA grad and Calgary Centre is a former place of employment for me. Having been removed from employment here for some time and participated in the programming they have to offer I’d say the services offered here punch above their weight.
For intellectual stimulation they offer free lectures showcasing some prominent experts in a number of ground breaking fields. They also offer networking opportunities through their Shindig events which are usually free. If you are looking for information for your child to attend the UofA, they have someone who will help you out.
However, I get the sense that they are open to new opportunities to work with grads in helping get the UofA name out in Calgary. Talk to the staff, they are helpful and proactive. Use the facility so the UofA can see the value of having it there.
