Fondé en 1969.

GOAD and GOAD’s origin can trace its way back to 1969, when Gary Goad articled at a firm in Kitchener, and then became partner at Lochead, Sills, Osborne, Madorin, Bean & Goad. Gary Goad then moved South of the 401, to his hometown of Cambridge, to practice as a sole practitioner in 1972. In 1980, GOAD and GOAD was born, when Tim Goad joined the practice. We were located just down the street at 65 Cambridge Street. The firm has been located at 53 Cambridge Street since 1987.

The firm has been providing trusted, practical and sound advice in the community since 1972. We have enjoyed a loyal and excellent client base over all those years. We think we’ve done so with integrity, commitment to service, and a genuine interest and compassion for our clients’ varied issues.

Tim was born and raised in Cambridge (Preston) and has been an active and valued member of the community ever since. He has been practicing law in the Waterloo Region since 1980, when he joined his older (but arguably not-​as-​good-​looking) brother, Gary, to form the firm of GOAD and GOAD LLP. Over those 35+ years, Tim has well earned a reputation as a straight shooter, gentleman and excellent lawyer.

His practice is now generally restricted to Corporate and Commercial law, Elder, Estate Planning and Wills, and Real Estate. However, Tim also has had extensive experience in Family Law, Child Protection and Civil Litigation.

While still running a very busy practice, Tim is attempting to spend some more time with family and friends.
