Spécialités

Comfort & Soul foods from the American South is what we specialize in. Chicken ’ n Dumplins, Biscuits & Gravy, Pulled Pork, Fried Chicken and LOTS of side dishes like Sweet Potato Casserole, Old Fashioned Mac & Cheese and our biscuits and hush puppies are a house favourite.

Our house soup is Potato, Bacon, Leek & Cheddar and a chef’s choice soup is made as well. Along with our FULL breakfast (served all day), lunch and dinner menu, we also have Blue Plate Specials that change weekly that include things like Chicken Fried Steak with Sawmill Gravy, Stuffed Cannelloni, you never know what might show up on the specials!

We use as LOCAL as we can. As much of our supplies are sourced right here in Chatham-Kent County!

We also offer delivery of our Refrigerated/Frozen meals for Seniors, Students, families, anyone who needs a little help with mealtime! We deliver from Windsor to Woodstock, Amherstburg to Sarnia.

Historique

Fondé en 2012.

We started out making pre-made meals and selling them at Farmer’s Markets. As our clientele grew we needed more room. In March of 2013 we opened in our current location at 8619 Talbot Trail in Cedar Springs Ontario.

I wanted to bring the foods I was raised on to Southwestern Ontario and it has been received very well! I also make «Canadian Foods» but Southern is where my heart is!

Alecia Mike D.

Gérant de commerce

I (Alecia) have lived in Canada for going on 13 years now, out of that 13 my son, Zac, has been on me to open a Southern Restaurant for 10. So I did! My hubby Mike is orginally from Windsor Ontario. We bring to the table all the foods I was taught to make by my Mom and Granny and my Aunt Aggy. I make old fashioned made from SCRATCH everything! I started cooking before I could read. I was the «Official Biscuit Cutter» and as time went on I became the official biscuit maker. Now I make lots of yummy Southern Dishes for folks who can’t get down south!

Mike and I have been married going on 14 years. We met «online» in a Bingo Room of all places. :-) He is the love of my life and I love cooking with him.
