Went there to finish off my ski trip with a couple of buddies. It was mid week so the place was relatively quiet, maybe half full. The meal was pretty solid. Lamb skewers were well seasoned and cooked medium. The calamari were okay; cooked well but a bit small and it looked like they were cooked in oil that was too dark. For the main, in some sort of macho showdown, all of us got the 16 oz country cut prime rib. Cooked medium rare, well seasoned, juicy. Killer horseradish with it. The sides weren’t very good though; the vegetables were undercooked and the garlic mash was over whipped and pasty. No room for dessert as we were all in a meat coma. Service was excellent; we were waited on by the bartender who was attentive, friendly and helpful despite being the busiest guy In the restaurant. I thought the prices were decent considering he location right at the base of the hill. Would return.

We come to copper blues every time we visit the area and were looking forward to their butternut squash ravioli. You’d be surprised how hard it is to find a restaurant that serves it. The first time we had it a couple years ago was absolutely delicious and one of the reasons we decided to come back this past weekend to have it again. We ordered it with shrimp rather than chicken this time but man, we were disheartened to find while the description of the dish was the same it was actually much different taste wise; very little brown butter and green peppers were added to the dish. Simple is better and it just changed the entire flavour of the dish. Other than a waitress having to seat is because there was no hostess at the front door, and we were kind of just left standing there while other wait staff looked at us, our actual server was wonderful. too bad we didnt get his name. He was quite pleasant and attentive. The stars off are for the disappointing change in what seemingly is a simple pasta dish and the expensive cost for a 6 oz glass of wine. $ 14 for a glass of their featured cupcake red velvet. Sheesh. All their wines seemed overpriced. A bottle was averaging $ 35-$ 40. Sadly, the next time we’re up at the mountains we may opt to visit another restaurant.

Wow, for the first time I was discriminated, and the hostess(I found out, that she is one of the owners — Great way doing business MRS. Lashambe) did not wont to put my name on the waiting list. No clear explanation no nothing. At the begging was 1 hour waiting, when we sad that is fine for us, she actualize to 1 jour and a half. We sad that is fine as well, and then she sad come back but I will not put your name on the list, because I do not like your friend and his wife. Wow, she does jot like person who make over 100k per year just because he is IT and a little bit strange guy.

Terrible service and bland food — don’t bother waiting for a table here. My friend had the prime rib, another had the lamb– it was low quality meat and not seasoned well. The food review is totally subjective but the service isn’t near an acceptable level

Went to eat here last night and we really enjoyed it. Service was great, atmosphere was good and the seafood for 2 was excellent. I stuffed my face.

Grossly overpriced and horrible service. Had a caesare salad and discovered a bunch of black hair in it so I sent it back. They tried to bill me for it and said that since I d eaten half of it they couldn t take it off the bill and furthermore no one in the kitchen had black hair that matched. Can you imagine!!! Of course I had the manager remove it from the bill. A bunch of pretentious valley girls work here and most of the food looks like it was prepared yesterday or came out of a boil bag. AVOID

This restaurant has a great atmosphere. It has a prime location and it is located pretty much at the centre of the Blue Mountain resort. I didn’t have to wait for too long to be seated. The restaurant opens even late at night. As for food, I ordered Fettuccine Copper Blues, which comes with Fettuccine pasta, tiger prawns, grilled chicken with roasted garlic sauce. The tiger prawns were great, but the chicken was too big. I prefer to eat more thinly sliced/cut chicken. Also, the Fettuccine pasta was a bit too soft. I personally prefer al dente pasta. However, if that’s your preference, you should try this dish.

Food are good and so are the services. Great place to stop by at the blues. Good selection of beer and wine. Lobsters, steak, ribs, soup … No disappointment every time I come. Only if they could age their prime rib and steak longer. Put more lobster in their soup. That could definitely bring up a notch. Will I return: everything I stop by.

Perhaps the food is good at this establishment however the disgusting level of service leaves much to desired. Ok, so admittedly we walked in without reservations. After watching the hostess and her assistant engage in mindless chatter for 10 – 15 minutes, we received a terse ‘Can I help you?’ Said hostess then said, I just have to look around and see if there’s a table. She then disappeared for another 10 – 15 minutes. Her ditzy assistant then appeared and said, ‘Oh, has anyone helped you?’. We explained that her boss(the other brain surgeon) was going to look around. She said, ‘oh, I’ll go ‘look around’. We wait another 10 minutes and she returns and says ‘we don’t have anything, I’m sorry, it will be a 45 minute wait’ No Shit! The original hostess/brain surgeon returned and says ‘Has anyone helped you?’ Yes, Abbott and Costello are alive and well(Who’s on first?) and employed at Copper Blues. Perhaps I’m giving them too much credit. I suppose the HR requirement for management is an IQ of –50? Fed up from this moronic incompetent goon show, I very politely explained that their ‘service’ was unacceptable and that perhaps they ought to change or automate their system and make it more ‘idiot proof’. For that, said hostess brain surgeon replied ‘Please come back try us again’. REALLY? I’d rather have root canal repeatedly. McDonalds drive through is a Michelin starred restaurant compared to this place. AVOIDCOPPERBLUESLIKETHEPLAGUE!!!

We ate here for lunch. It is one of those places that wants to be a nice classy place but that the food doesn’t quite match. Overall, the food is average yet pricey. The wait staff is really helpful — though harried as there was only one waitress and one bartender at lunch. They said they weren’t expecting so many people which is a bit odd because it’s lunchtime. We ordered several burgers and the beef rib poutine. The burgers were all cooked to well-done while the fries were okay. The beef rib poutine was the best of what we had. There were two short ribs though they were really fatty and overcooked so the meat was a bit stringy. The sauce was the best part with a dark and rich flavor. It’s the only thing I can recommend on the menu. Finally, it’s not a good place for families as the kid’s menu is pricey. A kid’s burger at lunch was $ 12 while the adult burgers were $ 15 — $ 16.

My husband and our friends were visiting from the states for New Years. We stopped here on NYE for a bite to eat. The food was decent, however the service was not good. We had a girl, shoulder length dark brown hair, nice, but not good at basic serving. We ordered a bottle of wine and water. Our waters were empty before our wine even arrived, as we were thirsty from a long day of skiing. She did not refill. She stood at the table pressuring us to order when we hadn’t had enough time to decide. We finally just picked and she ran off– still four empty water glasses. Our food arrived quickly which was a plus! Our water was still empty and I had to grab our waitress to ask for them to be refilled. Then, she dropped off our check, without asking if we wanted dessert– which we did after hearing her explain what sounded like a great dessert menu to our neighboring table. Pros– food was ok, beautiful restaurant, good bread Cons-terrible service, inattentive, very rushed When we return to the mountain we will be avoiding Copper Blues.

How do you know a place is good? When you feel you owe the hostess a liter of blood for seating you because you have no reservation and there is a LONG line behind you. You doubly know a place is good when you actually make a reservation while walking out because the first meal was so good. Order their fish or the chicken curry.

Our family had dinner here last night and it was great. New York steak was cooked best compared to prime rib and sirloin. Snow crab appetizer was great, calamari’s batter was not light enough and bruschetta too small of an option, both latter can be skipped. The lamb was great and so was the fettuccini. Their dessert special was blueberry cheesecake –excellent! Get a table looking at the mountains bc during these summer weekends there are fireworks at 10pm and it’s makes a perfect ending to a late dinner. Service was great.

Gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food here. I was expecting overpriced, touristy food that would be passable, but not great. I was wrong, obviously! We were seated right away. The waitress seemed a bit snooty to me, but I’m willing to give her the benefit of the doubt and say that she was tired from serving transient tourists and skiers all night. We had the surf and turf special which was $ 35. The lobster tail was so succulent and flavourful. The steak was tender and perfectly done. Others had the whole lobster special, which really was a sight to see. It was also $ 35. The only complaint with that was that the whole lobster did not come pre-cracked, and our companion had to send it back for some assistance in removing the shell. The mussel appetizer was appropriately large and made for a perfect sharing item. Though the roasted walnut dusted brie fritters with sweet Thai chili sauce sounded weird, they were actually pretty good. The olive oil and thick balsamic vinegar drenched bread was a surprising combination(has to be seen to be understood), and so delicious as well. I would come here again.

I was at the Honda Conference at Blue Mountain Resort and my team and I chose this restaurant and was not disappointed at all! We had the seafood appetizer for 6 and I can’t think of a better way to start a meal! It was a little pricey but way worth the money! So so good!

The best place we ate during our stay in Collingwood. Our server, Raven, was amazing. Friendly, attentive, and offered great tips for the area. It’s the slow season and so they have a $ 24 seafood special. Incredible deals! These are full menu items at about 50% off the normal price. I would highly recommend you check this place out.

Rating: 2.5÷5 stars I was craving for some prime rib while I was up in Collingwood with my boyfriend for the weekend. After doing prime rib searches on Unilocal it seemed like there were no close by restaurants that served prime rib :(. So we decided to walk around Blue Mountain and see what their restaurants offered. I was so excited when I found out that Copper Blues Bar & Grill served prime rib. Surprisingly there were no line-ups on a Saturday night because we were seated as soon as we got there. Service was pretty decent but my prime rib expectations were crushed :(. We both ordered an 8 oz. medium-rare prime rib. It was a bit tough that by the end of the meal we weren’t enjoying it very much. The au jus for the prime rib was not good at all. It was thick, very dark brown in colour, and didn’t taste like au jus. I had to eat the prime rib without it because the au jus just didn’t go with the prime rib. Overall, it’s a romantic place for a dinner date but the food was mediocre. I definitely don’t want prime rib from Copper Blues anymore.
