Blustery, rainy day. Need something to warm my innards! Impulsively turn right, into a Liquor store connected to the Executive Hotel conveniently in my path. Hmmmm, definitely not the open layout I am accustomed to at Legacy or Liberty… Spin around to get a feel for the place. Wine and beer accessible, a fridge of mixers and ale & everything else behind-the-counter. This necessitates talking to the clerks before deciding what I want. Introverted part of me grumbles silently. BUT… customer service wins the day! Clerks are knowledgeable. They greet my disappointment over a missing bourbon with a caliber suggestion for an alternative, gratis backstories of ‘buddies’ who have enjoyed the brand. Need a small gift to thank my neighbour for hauling our trash to the curb in the early morning. Another recommendation lickety split!(Neighbour verifies it was a quality choice). Will stop in again based on the service alone!

The new management needs a lesson in customer service. Just bought a case of beer… rang up at $ 3 more than sticker price. The manager refused to honor it, no explanation or apology offered. I’ll take my business elsewhere next time thanks.
