RADD Designated Drivers

everytime I attempt to use this company I get HORRIBLE service from the dispatch girl, she’s rude and disrespectful and has ACCIDENTALLY sent me messages intending for someone else calling me * dumb as faaack * I have pictures to prove it. I will not use this company ever again nor will I ever recommend it.

This has become such a waste of time for me but out of ethics and business values I have to share how unsatisfactory this simple $ 20 issue has become:
Dec 29: I emailed asking in advance what their policy is for booking, if required, etc., reply was: Feel free to call the Radd line anytime after 6pm to prebook a ride! No price or anything shared to what it would cost.
Note: Even on their web site (
), they say «PRE-​BOOKS ARE ACCEPTED AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED» but not one reference to that there maybe a charge, etc… but encouraging to pre book
Dec 31: NYE at the location and they offered 4 different companies, but I called RADD. The call was made around 8pm, I was sober and was outside where it was quiet of any background noise and clearly spoke to the dispatch. At the time I asked how this works, then was offered how they can arrange a time and encouraged this and at no time advised of a fee or charge, just asked me what time, then asked for my credit card to confirm the reservation.
The driver and co driver were both great, a great tip provided and a great night had by all.
Now what has lead me to go through this and write the details is to bring awareness of the voice message received from the owner, who has not spoken with me personally, but in his message said «the $ 20 was for the drivers for them to have volunteered that night and provide the service». Well then this clearly should have been advised, they are being paid a wage like anyone else who works on nights like this and it’s their choice to work or not. As the business he should be compensating his staff not taking undisclosed moneys from clients… this does not sit well with me especially when the fare was already a fair amount, and I tipped a fair amount, not good, and I am a hospitality professional 25+ years, so I am well aware of staffing challenges on special days of the year!
The issue I have with this owner/​manager is:
— I sent the first email as I noticed the charge on my CC, no receipt for the $ 20, but I received one for the main fair paid via email… so where is my receipt?.
He replied to me on Jan 5^th, did not even spell check his email… lol, part of his reply was:
«hello I opoligize if there was a double charge on your card. If it was a single charge and was on new years it was a $ 20 pre book fee for new years that did not go to the price of the ride. If it was a ride not taken then it may have been the no ride fee. can you please let me know which day you booked a ride for and when the charge was put thru and I can look into it this evening for you. All the best Tim RADD»
–So I replied as he asked to no response back, I sent 4 follow up emails and 4 voice messages.
— So as a potential professional business person, he called and instead of leaving his name, a number to reach him at so we can talk and keep the message simple as one should, he leaves me a long winded message basically telling me the above and more, «go ahead and take any repercussions if needed as this is not how they do business», etc… so here I am, left him another voice message where it does not seem this guy works at all as he is never in.
I am upset again based on principle, he has dodged me and I wonder how many other’s have not checked their CC statements and aware of this… integrity with the owner is the issue with RADD, certainly not his employees.
