Lack of customer service. I purchased a pair of those nice garden boots for my mom in law as a gift for xmas. I made the purchase on Dec 22, 2009. She really liked them but they were just a little too tight around the calf. I tried to take them back on Jan 152010 — the day after she told me that they didnt fit & asked me if I could instead get a plant that she had her eye on. I took them back to the store with a reciept in my hand. Not even a full month & they would not return my money! Just a credit to the store — ‘returns for refunds ended on Jan 9, 2010 — it is printed right on the receipt’ the manager nonchalantly said. Yup you care about my business. I f you dont like our policy — you can call customer service. Yes I didnt look. But then are you to give a gift with a deadline as to when they are to decide if they like them? They were a size 10 so I asked to see if the store could order a size 11. ‘They dont come in that size’ the store manager told me. In this era of trying to create good customer relationships etc. I think it would would have been a better policy to increase the return timeframe. The store manager only retorted that ‘other stores dont even give any refund’. What planet was she When I called the customer service number the same day… they just gave me the policy drivel again. That is a sure sign they are not even trying to create good customer relationships. I will hopefullly be able use up the credit in the near future(I havent read the super fine print on the back of the card… It probably also only gives me only 3 weeks!) But I will not be shopping there again. Arrogant attitude and lack of customer service.
