Rita’s Stitching Studio

Historique

Fondé en 2013.

During my 30+ years as an teacher in the public school system, I discovered that many students and adults wanted or requested more one-​on-​one instruction in both garment construction and pattern design. Rita’s Stitching Studio began as a way to fill this need in the Comox Valley and has expanded to allow Rita’s passion for sewing and creating.

Since July 2013, the business has bloomed and now not only includes sewing/​designing classes, but also includes hand-​made, custom designed creations and alterations for young and old.

Graduated from UBC as a Home Economics Teacher in 1983.

Masters in Educational Leadership in 2006.

Taught in middle and secondary schools for 30+ years.
