Took a trip to P.E.I. to visit a friend, and as a non-driving citizen, I took to doing some research in my options. A bus strike with Acadian Lines dictated me looking into the private van lines. PEI express shuttle is one of the few. and is very convenient in picking you up at your front door(and drop you off afterwards). The cost is very comparable to a bus line, but you save plenty of time by only having extra stops within the HRM. The only other stop along the way is close to the NB border to ‘refuel’ with snacks at a gas station and Tim Horton’s. The one downfall of the shuttle services between PEI, is the fact that they can’t stop anywhere in NB, where the natural mid-point of the trip would be. This is because of the New Brunswick government not allowing them to stop. This is the cause of a lot of discomfort as you get closer to Charlottetown. My bumitis had kicked into full force to the point that I was just counting the seconds until I got out of the shuttle. As soon as I got to my hotel, I called the shuttle and requested the front seat for the ride home. Luckily I called soon enough and my request was granted. I regained feeling in my right leg a couple of days later. Word to the wise, request the front seat.
