My favourite spot for lunch in Burnside. Great soups with a tea biscuits. Cheryl’s cookies are also top notch! Go with the hot sausage soup, mix it with a beef soup if you can’t stand the heat(like me).

How many times have you looked at your co-worker at lunch time. and asked. what are we doing for lunch? Well I do it a lot, I haven’t quite mastered the whole brown bagging it thing. It is use to be a list of the«usual suspects», tim hortons, pizza, fastfood, chinesse, sushi, etc it gets old fast especially in burnside. Well not anymore, Soups on the move is the best thing to happen to burnsides«food court», you can find her in the parking lot of the dartmouth surplass, by pass the chip truck and hot dog stand and step right up to the yellow trailer! Fresh soups, homemade sandwiches with«special» sauces, and my personal favorite a taco salad a family of four could eat from. Every soup gets a homemade tea biscut that are so amazing it could cause you to come to blows over the last one. There are the main staples but you can always bet on their being something new on the menu. I think one of my favorite things is it doesn’t matter how big the line up is, the owner takes her time and prepares each item with care, it is never too long a wait, and if it is a little long, you don’t mind as sooooo worth it. I almost thought twice about writing a review, as it is a hidden gem in burnside, and not sure I want to share :)

My favorite lunchtime spot! Located in the Dartmouth surplus parking lot in Burnside this lovely trailer is loaded up with fabulous homemade soups, chowders made for your sandwiches and salads! She has the absolute best tea biscuits too! I usually find those drawing me back in, as they come with a soup when you order it. She’s always got lots of selection on the stove, and always a delight to visit for some lunch. Prices are very reasonable, and occasionally she does draws for«free lunch fridays!». If your in the park, and you haven’t visited this spot yet – you truly are missing out.
