Marci’s Bar & Grill & Pizza

Great pizza, homemade crust and fresh toppings. The sauce was also a nice blend of spices. Also they have a good selection of draft beer for a small place

Dinner out with my mom and sisters turned out to be a great time. Marci’s has been a staple in Devon for a few years now, and it seems to be doing just fine. The bruschetta is really tasty and super loaded with feta cheese (who doesn’t love feta!) The portion sizes are quite large, so either come hungry, or take some home. I wish they had one or two more serving staff, as the service is quite slow when it’s busy but other than that, not too bad of a place to eat.

Marci’s is a great restaurant. The service is great and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Small towns don’t have many options for sports bar style restaurants, Devon is lucky to have a gem like this so you don’t have to go to Boston pizza for a nice evening out.

Ordered a pizza from Marci’s and it was the first time I had to throw it away. The crust was cardboard and tasted like they cooked it from a frozen state. Marci’s takes no pride in their food and makes Boston Pizza look like fine dining.

Working in Devon, I end up hearing a lot about local restaurants before I eat at them. I hadn’t gotten any good reviews of Marci’s before going there for lunch, and unfortunately I have to agree with my co-​workers. It appeared that only one staff member was working, so our lunch was close to an hour and a half. I was there with a larger group and we ordered off a set menu of three items (lasagna, spaghetti or steak). Despite the very limited number of choices, our waitress returned to our table multiple times to confirm orders and still didn’t get all of them correct.
I got the steak and it was brutal. I ordered well done, and the meat was thin, dry and charred. It was like eating burnt shoe leather. Part way through eating I took a bite that was nothing but charcoal that crumbled in my mouth and I didn’t eat any more. Looking around the table, the people who ordered medium or medium-​rare steaks had larger thick cuts of meat, whereas the well done steaks were approximately a centimeter thick. The fries accompanying the steak were awesome, but that wasn’t enough to salvage the meal for me. Never again.

I’ve been very disappointed by Marci’s in the past due to inconsistent food and horribly slow service. However, I was delightfully surprised today. The service was super on all accounts. The food was quite good and arrived hot!
Why only 3 stars? The food is solid, but they still need to find some way of distinguishing themselves from all the other burger and pizza joints out there.
