Krav Maga Solution (KMS) is the ONLY Authentic, Certified and legitimate Krav Maga school in the Edmonton area with direct ties to Israel and Krav Maga’s founder Imi.

Krav Maga is the most effective self defense system offered today. Krav Maga is easily learned and implemented quickly. This system is accessible to anyone interested in learning self defense techniques in aim to protect themselves and their surroundings.

Krav is taught to civilians, military, security forces and secret force units throughout the world and has gained a reputation of being one of the best modern fighting systems taught today.

Krav Maga Solution is the ONLY School In Western Canada besides Grande Praire, sanctioned by the OFFICIAL International Krav Maga Federation, Israel.

Historique

Fondé en 1996.

The art of Krav Maga was founded by Imi Lichtenfeld (Sde — Or). In 1948, Israel had declared its independence, IDF’s (Israeli Defense Force) officials approached Imi and requested him to develop a system of self defense and fighting based upon his experience and his work with special forces, making Krav Maga the official combative training for all military personnel, Israeli police and security forces. In 1964 Imi retired from the IDF and continued teaching Krav Maga to civilians, as well as law enforcement units and military applications. The Krav Maga association was founded by Imi and several of his students in 1978. Due to dissension amongst the higher graded instructors, Imi formed a new international KM federation, along with IKMF’s chairman nowadays, Avi Moyal. Since 1996 the IKMF expanded and is now the largest and most appreciated KM institution worldwide. The IKMF trains and educates all types of trainees, with or without KM backgrounds throughout the world.

David Crane’s long list of accomplishments during his four decades of martial arts training lends itself to the formation of Krav Maga Solution Inc. As a native of St. John’s, Newfoundland, David is a second generation martial artist. He started learning Judo with his father in the 1970s and has also trained in wrestling, boxing, Tae Kwon Do, Kempo, Krav Maga, Kickboxing and MMA, consisting of Aikijutsu, Kyokushin Karate, grappling and weapons. He has attained black belts in Judo, MMA and Kickboxing, as well as a teaching certification in Krav Maga with the International Krav Maga Federation (IKMF) where he is currently one of the highest ranked instructors in Canada. Additionally, he served in a Canadian military infantry unit in the 1980s, where he was taught military hand-​to-​hand and weapon combat tactics.

Over the years, his passion for the martial arts has allowed him to train with a variety of people learning different systems in other countries. He continues to train today.
