Best Indian I’ve found in Edmonton! Seems to keep getting more popular since I had been to the original location on 156st

Excellent Kashmiri chai. Very affordable and tasty Indian food. Purchased the Groupon but will be back for full price. Better than Remedy IMO.

Absolutely amazing! Went there yesterday and my partner and I both got soup– coconut chicken and lenil, which were both full off flavour and so filling! The service was also amazing and absolutely worth coming back for– not to mention the rest of the menu! The gentleman have some free naan bread and a few chai lattes as we were leaving! I look forward to going back soon, maybe even being regulars!

I would say the service is bad, but that would imply there actually is service. Brutal.

Great and affordable meal. The masalla dosa is my absolute favorite and go to meal when I don’t feel like cooking. Super affordable and great quality for the price.

Really great spot for lunch, dinner or takeout. Really good vegetarian choices and coffee. The service is fast and friendly I recommend the chickpea salad, the lentil soup and the garlic potatoes

Stopped by Nosh on a cloudy sunday afternoon, after a River Valley Hike. Our first destination was Remedy Café, which was full and standing room only, so we decided to give Nosh a try as it was a mear ¼ of a block away. The first thing that hits you is a lack of atmosphere. The restaurant is very clean and has nice style, but no music leads to a definate lack of ambience. There was however a TV on the wall, tuned to the shopping channel(which seemed odd). It almost felt like being in a eating library. We ordered 2 drinks(London Fog and Mocha) as well as the Hummus Tappas. The drinks were served to us in «To-Go» cups(we had mentioned were staying in). When we finally received our Hummus, we were served a nice big plate of freshly prepared hummus… and then 1 full piece of flat pita bread, cut in half, served in a tin foil wrapped plastic basket. The hummus was delicious, but we had far more hummus than pita bread. I was not above getting what I paid for, so we finished eating the hummus with a spoon. I would not come back any time soon, though there is definitely potential here to be a nice Remedy alternative. Our advice: ditch the tv, turn on some eclectic music, and give enough pita bread to match the delicious hummus.

Quick and short review. Do not go here if you are craving for a good or even decent dosa. Many reasons for that: –dosa isn’t served with sambhar but with a watery yellow lentil/dal which is overloaded with garlic(I love garlic and I couldn’t even eat it) –I don’t know if they were trying to be creative but their dosa came with red sweet chutney. This is the weirdest combination ever!!! #fail –coconut chutney was just a coconut paste with no spices and SALT. –dosa was stuffed with North Indian style Aaloo matar. Please note that this isn’t modern Indian cooking, it is just lazy cooking that lacks any creativity whatsoever. Any person who has eaten even a decent dosa in life would seriously sit there and laugh at what is being served in the name of dosa. Thank you for serving us but we wouldn’t be coming here again.

How about fix business hour first? Walked there at 5:40 Sunday, said they’re closing in 20 mins, asked if they could do take out. And then answer was kitchen already closed. I checked internets and all the sites said it’s open till 9:30pm Sunday. Thank you for lying on everywhere i could find info.

This restaurant is one of my favourites in Edmonton. It’s Indian cuisine and as far as I’ve been told fairly authentic. The owner and staff are so friendly and enjoyable to talk to. The space is clean and nicely renovated. The food is delicious. I’ve had almost all the dishes, my favorites being the dosas, the chicken tikka masala, the chana masala, and the lamb briyani. Tonight I tried the spaghetti, it was an Indian version and was very tasty. It had in house made meat balls and a spiced up sauce. There are many vegetarian options for those who are as well. As for drinks they make a mean chai and have other Chai options like a dirty Chai, or a cashmiri Chai, iced or hot. it is very reasonably priced and you can get take out as well.

The food was OK but not quite what I was expecting. Had butter chicken and naan bread. I thought the naan was just bought and heated; but it was OK. The butter chicken had a nice heat to it; but seemed a little too strong in the tomato department for my liking. My husband loved his food and was there twice in one week. He has just decided to be a vegan and thoroughly appreciated that side of the menu. Will probably give them another try.

Nosh has moved to 124th into the former home of Dahlias! I was a huge fan of the Nosh menu in the previous location(but not a fan of the location itself) so this is just the best news! Finally, a fabulous location for a fabulous place. The new location is much bigger, while still retaining that quaint, inviting feel, and full of the best spices in life: Indian comfort food! You can go in just for a chai or a coffee, as a café,(they make a great espresso!) Or for lunch or dinner. For the food part, it’s not exactly cheap, but not expensive either… It is real, home cooked, quality food. They have a ton of wraps made with traditional Indian dishes(which is unique!) as well as an entrée list with all your Indian faves. I’ve had the butter chicken and chicken pakora. Both were excellent, as was the rice and the naan — oh the naan is good! The chicken tikka is tasty too — but if you like it really spicy, as I do, you need to tell them to bump it up a notch. The only thing I was disappointed in was the fattoush salad — the best part of a fattoush is the crispy pita chips that act as croutons, and there were none! Boo. Anyhoo, I couldn’t be happier about the new location and can see myself spending quite a bit of time here. Nosh on Edmonton!

By far the *best briyani* in town! Especially the lamb briyani. So succulent, tender and flavourful. Quite authentic Indian food. They can cater to all levels of spiciness. Also, one of the best chais and mango milkshake!

This place is soooo good. The owner is super friendly and wants to cater to anyone who comes in. He readily offers up vegan dosa and will alter the spice level if you’re a big wimp like I am. The location is really nice and has plenty of seating, the menu selection has plenty of vartiety– I would recommend the chana dosa, tabbouleh and fattoush!

I just found Nosh café this week, I stopped by to check it out, without buying anything I left with a free Chai, a gift which I had mere moments before entering Nosh wished for! Two very happy patrons shared their very positive review of the food. When walking towards Nosh this evening, the intoxicating fragrance of the food met us at the curb. It is hard to satiate my senses and tastebuds… this meal did indeed! This was a beautiful journey, I am moved and touched by the experience and the offering of this amazing nurturing food. Namaste

My husband and I ordered takeaway the other night, and were pleased with the food and the service. My husband was given a free mug of Chai while he waited for his order, and the service was pleasant and prompt. We ordered Chana Masala and Dhal Makhani(both came with rice on the side) and had enough food for a light dinner and lunch each – for just over $ 20. The Dhal Makhani was my preferred dish, creamy with lots of flavour – really delicious. The chickpeas in the Chana Masala were cooked perfectly, though the seasoning of this dish wasn’t my favourite. Every restaurant has their own take on Chana Masala, and this one didn’t win me over, as it lacked the sour/tangy element from tamarind, I think? All in all, we were happy with Nosh Café, and would definitely go back to try other dishes. We thought the prices reasonable, considering the location on 124 street. The portion size was good, and the food tasty also.

Just ordered delivery tonight, the food came quickly and it was all so good! Between me and my partner, we ordered prawn butter masala, palak paneer and some naan. Both dishes were fantastic, and it was more than enough for us. I will definitely eat their food again! The palak paneer was especially delicious, I totally recommend it if you can’t make up your mind.
