Here for lunch with my wonderful wife. A place we should’ve came to yesterday. No complaints though. The food as usual tasted amazing and the service efficient and friendly. Always a warming feeling coming here!

Stopped in after a fundraiser with the family. We’ve been here a few times and this is my first review of the place. Although it has Viet noodles, we typically order the Chinese food. The food and service are alway excellent when we eat here. Good value and portions. It is my favorite Chinese food place closest to my house. Always happy to come back.

What a ridiculous waste of time this restaurant is. The staff are completely incompetent. I called for delivery(we are very close to their restaurant) and had to repeat the address 4 times only for her to tell me we’re outside their delivery area and they want to charge another $ 5. Sounds like a scam to bill people more for crappy food when we’re close to the place. I second what David D. said in a previous review. this place is a joke.

Tried to order from here tonight based on the reviews. Spent the time writing out the order for delivery, called, got a woman who had us repeat our address 9 times. 9. She then told us she could not deliver more than 10 km away. We are 2.4. She put us on hold to «check». After 5 minutes on hold, she came back to tell us we are more than 10 km so she would not take or order. We are literally less than 6 minutes away. She hung up, they lost our business. I wouldn’t try these folks again.

Authentic. The«3 color» vermicelle(chicken, beef, and a spring roll) is what I had. Reminds me of how my mom makes it. Service is prompt, there was one waitress working. She never once forgot to fill up our water. I was impressed with the food and service. Will definitely go back.

I like the vermicelli combos and the jumbo shrimp with vegetables. The phở leaves much to be desired — bland and not that fresh. Not really a phở place in my opinion. All in all it’s a decent neighborhood restaurant/take-out with fast service and average prices.

We ordered food at 530pm on New Year’s Eve. Apparently this is a bad night to order for delivery but the woman on the phone said our food would arrive between 7 – 745. Fine; we were willing to wait. When 745 passed and our food hadn’t arrived, I called to ask if it was on the way. It wasn’t. And they were«running really behind» according to the woman I spoke with. I asked her to cancel the order as she gave no indication of when it was going to arrive. I am extremely disappointed with the poor customer service and lack of communication provided when it was clear to the woman who handled our order that it was not going to arrive by the time she quoted, if at all.

I love this place! The first time I ordered was on my way home from work,(I always pass this place and told myself I’m going to check this place out one day) I looked them up on Unilocal and called and made my order because I knew that by the time I get there it would be ready(traffic at 4:30pm on 50th street is insane). I finally got in and was greeted by a very nice happy guy! I mean seriously after going through that crazy traffic jam I was a little bit on edge but he made me calm down with his happy demeanor. I only had to wait for a couple of minutes for my meal and I was on my way. I came home and I was so happy with my the meal, I ordered a lemon grass chicken on rice and my partner had the Phở. They were very cautious with my peanut allergy so plus plus 1! The food was amazing so I decided to come back soon. Today which is a Sunday and I’m so happy that they are open and so close by that I wanted Phở and lemon grass chicken. I called in and I decided on delivery instead of pick up(call me lazy). I ordered Phở, lemon grass chicken and beef, small hot n sour soup, and green onion cake. They arrived in less that an hour in which they quoted me so plus 1! The food came hot and tasted great! I love this place! I live in a new area that just got built and always had problems with delivery but they got the address without any help, I’m impressed! I’m ordering here all the time!

My husband and I went here for dinner based on all the positive Unilocal reviews. We weren’t disappointed! The atmosphere was fun and the food really delicious. When they say spicy, they mean it. Some places say spicy but its not. The food had lots of flavour and came out fresh and piping hot! Come here for great Asian food at a good price.

Ordered food from this place through recommendation of a friend. And honestly I am probably the pickiest person when it comes to eating, the owners were extremely hospitable and understanding when I asked for modifications… and best yet not extra charges like most other places. Now to the food, I ordered the peppercorn beef, ginger beef, satay chicken and chicken chow mein, and I can honestly say I loved everything. it was all well prepared, fresh and perfect for my extreme spice level. I also found it more authentic and not greasy like some other restaurants in the city. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Food came out quick and tasted great, what more can u ask of a place. This is a definite regular for me and my family.

I’ve eaten here about a dozen times now and have loved the food. I normally don’t write reviews, but after seeing the previous review which was oddly offputting, I felt compelled to leave a review. The food here is fresh and well prepared. Best part is that the owners are allergy conscious and will do their best to accommodate you and also let you know what dishes to avoid. In my opinion, personal preferences on a particular dish should not affect a restaurant’s overall score… no one ever loves everything on a menu… the key is that I’m sure everyone can find many items to love on their menu! I recommend the teriyaki chicken and chicken chow mein! But the one thing that many of my friends have commented on is how the food is NOT greasy, unlike the average chinese restaurant! As for the dessert, well, let’s put the review in context… this ain’t supposed to be a cheesecake café, marble slab, or death by chocolate! ‘Nuff said. Anyways, great place… try it for yourself!

This is very close to my house and we didn’t want to drive too far in this road condition. We were greeted by… to my surprise, my high school friends! Apparently this is own by people I know. Since I know my friends, I will say that they are very friendly and hospitable when it comes to accommodating their friends and also providing great service to their customers. It was definitely a delight to see them. This restaurant has only been opened for 3 months and already they have a fairly good clientele. I can tell that the people who come here to eat really enjoyed the food. Water, tea and food all came out pretty quickly. The server also made sure we had our sauces. I had the chicken noodle soup for dinner but I didn’t really like. I just gave some to my friend and in exchange I tried his lemongrass beef vermicelli bowl and I liked that a lot better. My sisters ordered vegetarian vermicelli bowls and they said it was alright. I liked that they are not stingy on the portion and my sisters actually had to pack their food up to go. They didn’t have a dessert on their menu, but they did make us special sweets to eat at the end of dinner on the house. When you get the bill, they give you fortune cookies and for me15% off probably because I know them. =) This restaurant is spacious, clean and very welcoming. They have a decent size menu and lots of great varieties of dishes to choose from.

I stopped by here last night because it’s super close to my house. A number of restaurants(mainly Indian) have inhabited this spot in the 4 years I’ve lived in the area, and none of them lasted very long. I thought it was a good sign that the parking lot was pretty full when I got there with my partner, and the tables were almost all full. We were greeted right away by a friendly lady and shown to a table. The restaurant is open, modern and almost stark looking, but pleasantly so. It doesn’t have all the kitschy, dubious-looking«décor» that other Asian restaurants have. Our server, who I later presumed to be the owner, came by and gave us menus(they are printed on paper and are labelled Temporary Menu, with fields at the top for delivery information) and ensured that our waters(with lemon slices) were full. We looked at the menu and decided to start with green onion cakes($ 3) and spring rolls($ 5) and we both ordered the 3 Colour Vermicelli Bowl(with spring roll, beef and pork for $ 10). The green onion cakes and spring rolls were brought out on the same plate, attractively arranged with orange slices and maraschino cherries as a garnish. There were 4 portions of each, so my Dude and I had equal shares. The green onion cakes were different from the fried, chewy hockey puck you get at most places. It was almost like a crêpe with green onion inside, fried and crispy on the outside, but light and delicately chewy on the inside. Hands down the best green onion cakes I’ve ever had. I dipped them in the chili sauce they brought and it was amazing. The spring rolls were really good, crispy and nicely flavoured, but pretty much what you’d get anywhere else. The vermicelli bowls came really quickly after we had the appetizers, it was perfectly timed out. It was a big bowl with lots of grilled beef and pork on top, and a spring roll cut in half. The owner brought the food to us, and I commented that it looked really good, and he laughed and said«Wait until you try it!» I asked for hoisin sauce(I put that s*!t on everything) and they had also brought us bowls of fish sauce. I tasted the meat before putting anything on and it was deliciously seasoned and marinated, so good! Then I added some of the sauces and mixed everything together. I was disappointed that there wasn’t the cucumber and mint leaves that I normally get at other restaurants, but there was lots of noodles and lettuce and meat, plus shoestring carrots in the fish sauce, so I shut up and started eating. There were actually hints of mint that I got with each bite, which was nice rather than crunching down an actual whole mint leaf. There were delicious hints of ginger throughout it too, enough for you to notice without making it burn. I ate as fast as my chopsticks would allow and still finished after my partner. It’s just as much a testament to the food as it is to his clearly superior chopstick skills. The owner had come by after the first few bites to make sure everything was good, and that we didn’t need anything else. I nodded with my mouth full and, other than he and the other server refilling our waters, they left us alone, which was nice. As soon as they saw we were done, they came and cleared our dishes and asked how the food was. I was enthusiastic in my praise and, while they joked«Told you!», I could tell they were really pleased. Overall, the meal with 1 pop, 2 apps and 2 bowls came to $ 31. The food was really good, the service was friendly and prompt, my belly was achingly full, and I will definitely be back.
