Quality Inn

We stay here often while traveling between PEI and Ontario. Friendly service, comfortable rooms, pet friendly, lots of parking if we have a trailer. Even when we’re traveling without pets we stay here. I’ve never had a pet friendly room that smelled any different than any other hotel room. I have no allergies or anything, just going by smell alone. Just learned last trip that breakfast is now included so that’s a bonus!

If you like «The Shining,» then you’ll love the Overlook — I mean, the Quality Inn in Edmundston.
Before you get your hopes up, I’m referring to the décor, not ghosts (although my husband did keep talking about a non-​existent hotel bar and a man named Lloyd…) the first thing I thought when we reached our floor was that I was grateful there were no elevators. I feel that they might have opened with a torrent of blood as I walked down the hallway.
Creepy appearance aside, the beds were comfortable enough. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with towels and toilet paper. The sleeping area had a Keurig and a few coffee and tea pods.
There was only one electric outlet in the room that we could access. It meant prioritizing what needed to be charged. It also wasn’t anywhere near the desk, which meant I’d need to use my laptop in bed once the charge ran out.
For those allergic to animals: this is a pet friendly hotel. While our room looked to be free from hair and other signs of animal occupancy, there was a faint *something* that lingered. (Allergy sufferers know what I mean: that slight discomfort you feel when you have a mild reaction.)
It was a decent place to rest, but doesn’t stick out as a place I’d look forward to visiting again.
