C! Opticians

Well it’s taken me some time to write this review because I had to wait and calm down after my experience. I have never been so angry or so rude to anyone as I was when dealing with the people at the Sherway store especially the young Asian girl. The whole situation was disturbing and made me act in a manner that I am ashamed of. They were antagonizing patronizing and just plain horrible to me !!! It was a multitude of errors and lies that led me to this! Well it’s taken me some time to write this review because I had to wait and calm down after my experience. Bought some glasses back in November 2014 and I could never wear them they just gave me headaches I could never see properly out of them. Couple months ago I was at the ophthalmologist and when he looked my glasses he said the prescription was off the positioning of the progressives was off so I called them and immediately return to have them redone! The owner Tony should be a shoe salesman he is a liar and he’s a thief incredibably dishonest!!! He said that whoever told me that was out to lunch but I ironically the lenses were changed while he had them!!! He told me they were fine so if nothing was wrong with them why did they change them. Anyways when I went to pick them up they would not give me any kind of paperwork telling me what was done to the glasses he told me to get the F out of his store !!! Just a very bad experience will never go back hopefully anyone reading this review will not go and shop in this bargain basement store!!! Reported him to mall security!!! What ever you do not shop in the store!!! disappointment and anger. This store has a great selection if glasses and sunglasses that might be more expensive than you’re used to but the quality of the frames and service are superb.
I’ve bought several frames from them now and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Highly recommended.

I find shopping for glasses frustrating and tiring. My head is a small and weird shape, I always look like I have a Thom York eye in photos (I DON’T!!) and none of the frames that I like on the walls actually look good on my face.
I was on my way to lenscrafters at Sherway Gardens because… at least I could have the glasses NOW and it would be over… and this store was right in the way between the parking lot and my destination, so I went in. The owner looked at me, asked me to look at him straight on to asses what he was working with, picked up a pair of glasses and said that «these are the best glasses in the store for you.»
There you have it. Go to this store.
I have tried on over 100 pairs of glasses today and he was correct. Not only were they the best option in his store, they were the best option I had tried anywhere. I test drove 1 or 2 more frames in his store [and they were by far the second and third best glasses I had worn] and then 10 or 20 more at lenscrafters. I actually like these glasses and I’m excited about them.
Why did I keep shopping after I found the right ones? Because they seemed too expensive and I had to talk myself into it… I don’t know why I was quibbling with myself over that. They sit on my face for 10 hours every day. That’s like 2c per hour over two years and I kept the last oves for over 5 years.
If you are after something different than the standard cases of all-​the-​same brands you see at every other store, you MUST come here. They have a really interesting selection of frames I have not seen elsewhere, the owner is a talented optician and I am actually happy, which is a huge feat.
