Edens Gate

We had lunch here and this is one of those superb «gems» that you have to tell others about. When you walk in you realize this place is a cut above the norm; the décor is simple but smart and tasteful. You immediately know this isn’t just another sandwich shop in a small town in PEI. We had lunch but the breakfast menu was available if we wanted it. There were a broad range of dishes available, from local seafood through burgers and salads. Most of the menu items demonstrated creativity; calling it comfort food does it a disservice. We both had the seafood poutine which was super. We ordered our with mussels on top of a rich variety of local seafood which, of course was layered over fresh-​cut PEI fries. The entire mixture was bathed in a delicate cream sauce and served with fresh-​baked rolls. The couple who own and run the restaurant are pleasant to chat with which added to the pleasurable experience.

We had breakfast and it was perfect. Delicious eggs Benedict with a thick slice of ham over homemade bread. The service was very friendly and all of our meals were delicious. It has a nice patio and comfortable and clean atmosphere inside. Highly recommended!
