Elite Event – A Date at Darrell’s

These five stars are for the Oreo milkshake. I need a way to add five more for the awesomeness of the event, meeting other Elites, and my +1’s reaction to the peanut butter burger. I’ll summarize it here:
Her: «Wait, is that… peanut butter in my burger?»
Me: «Yeah, I think I read something about them having a famous peanut butter burger.»
Her: «Oh, thank goodness. I was just wondering — if you smell burnt toast when you’re having a stroke, what are you having if you taste peanut butter?»
I really hope Oreo milkshakes become a staple menu offering here. I think the rest of Halifax needs to be given the opportunity to love it.

Awesome way to kick-​start the beginning of Unilocal Elite Event season!
Everything about this event was great — except we were given two drink choices that didn’t really clash well together. You’re lucky Darrell’s, I’m going to have to come back and try one of those delicious looking milkshakes! I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to try Garrisons Tall Ship ale! And, now I’ll have a new go-​to.
It’s been a while since I had the Hali-​famous peanut butter burger; I seriously wonder why I work so close to Darrells, yet never think of it! Thank you Unilocal for re-​opening my eyes on all of their deliciousness.
Shannon — you’re fabulous! You have great energy and seem to be an excellent fit for the Unilocal community manger position! I look forward to seeing what else you have in store for us Elite.

What a lovely event! It was great to get out and mingle with fellow Elites, have a few beers, and see all the amazing food Darrell’s offers! Shannon was super fun and friendly, and did an awesome job on her first Elite event.
Looking forward to lots more to come!

The good times are back! Well done Shannon on hosting your first Elite event, couldn’t have picked a better spot. How did you know I’ve been wanting to try Darrells since moving here and hearing about their PB burger?
We sampled the PB Buger, the original pita club wrap and the turkey cran, or what I call the Christmas dinner on a croissant. All very tasty. These events give one the opportunity to try something they might be scared to commit to ordering otherwise. From what I overhheard, I think Darrell’s converted many to the PB burger this evening. For beverages, my designated driver B had the Oreo cookie milkshake (I sampled) which is almost a meal in itself. I tried a couple different Garrison Brewery offerings and both went down nicely.
Of course it was great to catch up with fellow Unilocalers, it’s been too long, and meet some new, look forward to meeting up again. It’s events like these that make all the review writing worthwhile! Can’t wait til the next time.

I had been to Darrell’s once before but it is always nice to explore more of the menu. I had a Garrison beer and a PB hamburger. I shied away from the the burger before because I just wasn’t sure but my reservations were for nothing. The PB Burger was so delicious. I also got to socialize with the awesome elites and try out a couple of other offerings. Thanks a bunch Unilocal :)

As good as it gets. Shannon was a great host. Beer, burgers, shakes, wraps. Is your mouth watering yet? The service was top notch my beer was getting low and to my side the server said would you like another. Thank you so much Unilocal elite community and to our host the ever so cool Shannon H. I had such a great time tonight!

I’ve eating at Darrell’s since 1998 and it’s always been consistanly great. Oreo milkshake, PB burger and original club wraps… all my favs! It’s great to be back again thanks to Shannon and the Darrell’s staff!

I’ll be honest — ever since Ben left I really thought whoever was up next had their work cut out for them… luckily for us Shannon is absolutely awesome!
What a great first Elite Event! It was a good turn out and there was plenty of good eats and drinks!
Darrell’s food was amazing as always and it was nice having a little section just for us to mingle and get to know each other.
Great job Shannon and I can’t wait for all the other goodies you have in store for us, you’ve quickly won me over! :)
