Kris got his start in the computer business in 1995, having been doing it as a hobby his whole life. Starting out as a technician, he learned to build, upgrade and repair systems in a boom time for PCs, while many homes were getting their first computer. Over the next 18 years, Kris continued to do sysadmin work, design and code award winning software and websites, and still build and fix his friends computers in his spare time.

In 2013, a plan was put in motion to open Octopi Computers. Wheels were put in motion, and when the right place for the business was found, the final steps were carried out for the business to open its doors.

When Kris isn’t fooling around with computers, he is very active in the music business, as a guitarist, as a concert promoter, and as one of the organizers of Halifax Pop Explosion, Halifax Urban Folk Festival, and Music Nova Scotia.
