Historique

Fondé en 1999.

Our dad started the business in Bayers Lake and soon opened a second location in Dartmouth. We were always a mattress specialty store with a strong focus on sleep, exceptional customer service and excellent selection.

We decided to shut down the business and we sold our very last mattress on January 24th, 2015.

The independent, family business — Simmons mattress gallery Halifax and Dartmouth is no longer in business.

After doing a fair amount of comparison shopping, this is the place to actually purchase a mattress! Too many places either push you to spend waaaaaay more than you intended, or try to pawn off the «special» (make that old stock no one wants) offer. And if that’s not the issue, how about the stores where no one comes near you?
How is a person supposed to figure out the differences! And that’s where the staff at Simmons comes in. They are helpful, without being overly in your face. They are knowledgeable about the different types of mattresses and ask you (you heard me) about your sleeping habits/​preferences/​and if you have any back issues.
We ordered a bed which was cheaper than anywhere else, and it was delivered within a couple of days. Need I add more? I think not.
