Not sure what the deal is with all the positive reviews. Rotten lettuce in the mixed greens, fake crab meat in the crab cakes and a better margarita pizza from McCain’s. To me the margarita pizza is the true test of an Italian restaurant. It’s beautiful in its simplicity. Taste is subjective but quality is a fact. Dried basil and industrial mozzarella means not a good margarita. Ex Torontonians that remember Italian restaurants pre Il Fornello will understand just how bad Café Limoncello is. I’m giving it two stars instead of one because the service was fantastic and it’s a cutesy place you want to like when you walk in.

Nice breakfast with a good basic menu. Staff is friendly and helpful. I had the light side with bacon and one egg, home fries and wheat toast.

Nice vibrant resto that was already quite busy at 6pm. Had garlic cheese bread and insalata casa to start. Veal parmigiana, spaghetti bolognese, and pasta fruitte de mare. Service is friendly and all the dishes were good. Finished off the evening with a lemon tart and moo moo cheesecake. The cappuccino was great! Definitely worth another trip!

We were expecting a lot better based on the other reviews. We weren’t expecting anything fancy, just good food. My husband and I both had chicken parm, it was terrible. It had too much sauce which was full of raw garlic, that tasted bitter. The chicken just tasted off, like it had been pre-frozen and left frozen for too long. The bread was served with sweet tasting humus which made no sense in an Italian restaurant. On the positive side our one waitresses was very polite and prompt. They would do well to get some good kitchen staff. Also pairing down the menu to a few really good dishes, instead of a multitude of bad ones would be a good start.

Awful from start to finish, I am now making it my personal mission to save other diners from the terrible food and service this place puts out… went to celebrate my Mom achieving 25 years of service in her career and was mortified I had suggested this restaurant… food was cold, overpriced and a disgrace to the designation of «Italian»…service was non existent, forgot apps, brought wrong meals, no kids menus, no dessert menu period, and wait staff appeared lost and ignorant… manager has her daughters working there, it’s the blind leading the blind, will NEVER return!!!

I was enthralled to learn that after my Celiac diagnosis, life was not over. One of my girlfriends told me that she read this restaurant off an HSR bus, and remembered it saying, «gluten-free». We made plans to go there later that week. Ahh, I remember it well. I had ordered the capellini limoncello, noting the namesake in the title. It arrived looking like an absolute disaster zone of olive oil, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt. This was the first eatery I’d gone to for Celiac, so I accepted that I’d be trying things that might not look appealing. I wish I hadn’t, because we had to pull over on the way home so that I could throw up on the side of the mountain access. I was sick for the rest of the night. I plan on never going again, but my advice to you: try to order something without any oils listed on the menu, so that if it comes in a bathtub full of oils you can say something about it without getting uncultured looks from the servers.

What a fantastic restaurant Almost everything can be made gluten free to order and they don’t skimp on the portion sizes. Ask the waitress to pair a nice wine with your meal and you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

You can definitely get a delicious meal here, but you won’t be blown away. I’ve had their eggs benedict… pretty yummy, but a little oily. I’ve had pizza here as well and again enjoyed it for sure, but I thought the crust was too hard and my pizza was again a little oily. Nothing bad to say, but I find the prices to be a little high for the qualify of the food. Definitely a nice place to stop though if you’re in the neighborhood!

Service was fast and very polite. Love how multiple servers bring everyone’s food at the same time and offer fresh ground pepper and parm right away. Pizza(non-gluten-free) was fantastic. Crust was thin and perfectly crispy. Good size for dinner plus leftovers. Gluten-free pizza very tasty with a generous amount of toppings. Many other gluten-free options available and staff was knowledgeable. Only downside was the inability to substitute for free. Examples: swapping equally priced topping on a pizza or swapping sauce on a pasta dish(alfredo for tomato). Would definitely recommend and return again!

A great neighbourhood place. I like this place for breakfast(the breakfast burrito/wrap is my favourite). We’ve been there many times and the staff is always super friendly and there is never a line on Sunday mornings. You won’t be disappointed but you probably won’t be blown away either.

Average experience at this restaurant. Service could be better. Stratciatella soup excellent. Bruschetta great. Entrees — all so so. Not sure if I will rush back

My 10 year old niece and I went there this past summer while visiting her dad. It was a weekday and very busy, but staff were extremely polite and very nice. Service was reasonably fast considering how busy they were, and the food was excellent. I had a salad that was very fresh and crisp, and my niece had pasta that she really enjoyed. Price is reasonably for good food in a nice sit down environment.

Great staff and atmosphere: relaxed and attentive service. Enjoyed the mussels and pasta, especially that tomato sauce
