First time at Johnny’s — was a great spot for coffee with a friend. We were both from out of town and happened to be walking by, and dropped in for a drink. I got the iced hazelnut latte — was on point. I didn’t get to try any other drinks but I’m sure they would be just as great. Seems like a good place to chill, study, or meet up with a friend or colleague.

Up the street from Starbucks is this great indie coffee shop. Lots of seating in back. They have a flat white on the menu. There’s a small patio on Locke and a cool tree covered side patio that overlooks some train tracks. No A/C as far as I could tell.

With Starbucks 50 feet from my front door and the«go to» for the last few years it was nice to see a new tiny coffee shop on one of the best streets in the Hammer. That said I was leary. No need. A great latte, ridiculously friendly service — felt like I had been there for years(at least that’s how I was treated) and quaint. Good design. Quiet. Yup this ones a winner!
