Historique

Fondé en 1985.

The company was founded by Milan Gigic, a European trained engineer, self made millionaire & president of a prestigious construction company in Toronto (experiencing a construction boom at the time). Milan’s vision was to create a niche to serve the window coverings industry & combine modern manufacturing practices with old world tradition to make the finest shutters in the world. To his credit Milan was greatly successful as a private label shutter manufacturer, serving other shutter manufacturers, interior designers, & upscale retailers like the Hudson’s Bay Company. By 1990, after building his second shutter factory & hiring local shutter legend Davis Stern, Milan was compelled expand his market presence and offer his legendary shutters directly to consumers while also expanding to large commercial shutter projects. Milan and David experienced phenomenal success in Canada & soon had expanded their presence through a network of dealers across the eastern seaboard in the USA
