They are closing down :(HOWEVER they are still keeping their bakery located on Wolfe Island so it still is worth to review. They are closed as of Nov 1. The owner would like to retired. I would say their baked goods are pretty good. Freshly baked every morning/evening.(I would know because i live right on top of them so I smell pastries in the evening and mornings). Their cheesecakes and butter tarts are my favourites. they also bake fresh bread and have home made jams. They have a sit down area for Breakfast and Lunch. I wouldn’t say the food is amazing. It would resemble homestyle breakfast foods. The staff here are always so sweet and helpful :) I would come back just for that!

I’ve been a huge fan of the Wolfe Island Bakery for years. I used to love the Red River Bread, and I still would, if I wasn’t now gluten-intolerant. Still, some of the baked goods are gluten-free(woohoo!) and the menu offers some great daily options that are good for eating in. I count this spot as a favourite local stop-in for weekend brunch. The best news, though, was that when I was in for brunch a couple weeks ago, the staff told me that they are developing more gluten-free offerings, including fresh bread! Should appear around May in the shop. I am eagerly awaiting a taste!

After many visits to the Wolfe Island Bakery’s Kingston location I have determined that I love the baked goods, but I am not so fond of the menu. I recommend any of the baked goods, and their breads are the best I’ve ever tasted. If you are in for a treat I recommend the Sweet Marie bar. However, I have been consistently disappointed with their brunches and the one lunch I tried. Stick to the sweets and breads!
