Ok burgers and fries. I do like the decorations and various memorabilia. I can’t say too much about the food. It was ok. I wish we had gone venturing more cuz there were more places to eat in other portions of the town. The service was good and prompt. We didn’t have to wait long at all for our food. I had the James Dean burger and my wife had the Elvis burger(cheeseburger). Not impressive. You’d think with names like that you’d get some sort of monstrosity or at least something creative right like their namesake? Nah. Too bad.

This place is horrible!!! Worst eating experience I can recall in years! Had breakfast special and bacon was microwaved and burnt, stale dry toast, and frozen triangle hash browns. Service was poor and place is run down. First and last time here. Yuck!

Good food at good prices in Fort Langley Great for families — they have a high chair for your child and nice sized booths to fit everyone. I had the Club Sandwich and clam chowder which was as expected. I would come again!

Below average food, below average service, Burger tasted like cardboard. Milk shakes were good though.

All the food served is frozen beef and chicken patties. We ordered burger kids meal and did not allow my niece to eat as the burger patty smelled of expired meat. We got suckered into eating here due to 50’s décor, which is cool, but upon closer inspection the place is a bit dingy with dirty floors. The salad was not fresh basically bagged salad with no presentation whatsoever. Had a great time in fort Langley but food here kind of ruined an otherwise beautiful day. Avoid eating here if you can, I’m sure there are better places around in fort Langley.

Went here on Bloom Festival Day. Had to wait 20 min for our ice drinks/milkshakes. Poor staff planning.

We were really surprised at how bad the service was and how unimpressive the food is. We came on beautiful sunny day and thought this place looked nice. The décor was nice and the staff were at least friendly but beyond that we were definitely wrong. It took us 50 minutes to get our food and that was after having to remind them that we weren’t served yet, even though there was plenty of staff in the kitchen. The table next to us was complaining too and it wasn’t that others weren’t being served. They served some that came much later than us, while us and other random tables almost had to take getting our food into our own hands. To give them some credit It did get busy after we came in and their server was running around trying to serve. However, the restaurant seemed to be so disorganized that they didn’t know who had ordered what and when. Once the food finally arrived we become even more disappointed. We thought after such a long wait that we would at least get some good food. But instead we got a near room temperature burger and a very hard/cool bread sandwich with meat so cold it was obviously just yanked out of the fridge. Regrettably like the table next to us said this will be our first and last time dinning at this restaurant.

Fast service. Fair prices. Great staff. Real Deal breakfast is great at $ 7.99. Pressed hashbrowns, 3 bacon, 2 eggs, 2 toast, comes with butter, jam, and peanut butter. On hot days it’s a great place because they serve Sara’s ice cream. I love this place. There are 2 reasons why I didn’t give 5 stars. 1-Toaster isn’t hot enough. Triple toasted bagels are still a bit soft. 2-Dining room needs cleaning. Yes, it’s a diner but it needs a good buffing. Wouldn’t pass«the grandma test»

So, we had eaten dinner across the street at 1827. Hubby was underwhelmed by his dinner and was looking for ice cream. This place was still open, they were in the process of closing but we were able to each get a cone. The ice cream was really good and the counter service was great. If we were in the area and wanting ice cream we’d pop in again. I do agree with the previous review… who calls a 50s diner Planet Java, hubby and I were laughing at that during dinner.

Let me just say, I LOVE50’s diners. The more original, the better. This place is by no means original, but it has the look. Other than being ridiculously cluttered. I wish I could give a better review, but WTF? First off, who calls a 50’s diner«Café Planet Java»? This place is so ghetto they won’t even provide table service. You have to order up at the counter, as if you’re in some type of cafeteria. Free coffee refills? Don’t even think about it! You gotta pay for a second cup. Really? Yes, really. The menu is typical diner fare, not cheap but not expensive. Sub par quality food. The bottom line is, it’s a 50’s dive pretending to be a 50’s diner.
