Historique

Fondé en 1988.

Principal owner Deborah Cameron ARAD RTS opened the studio in Langley BC to specialize in Ballet and Modern training and to mentor young teachers and performers. Royal Academy of Dance examinations, and competition preparations are held in each season. The school has successful students now teaching or performing world wide including Sophia Lee at Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Brendan Saye at National Ballet of Canada, Kelly Bennis, Tamara Pitts and Sarah Brewer free-​lance teachers/​choreographers, Sally Choi at National Ballet School teacher’s program.

Deborah Cameron ARAD Owner– Principal of Cameron Academy of Classical Dance trained with Josephine Slater ARAD ATC, Ellen Andrews ARAD ATC and world-​renowned teacher choreographer Norbert Vesak at Canadian Dance World Studios in New Westminster, and in high school joined the faculty. She continued intensive training and knowledge in Ballet, Modern/​Contemporary, and National Character under full full scholarship at Jacob’s Pillow, Massachusetts, U.S.A with international teachers. Miss Cameron has had the opportunity to set choreography for competitions and performances winning numerous awards including perfect marks of 100% through the years. She performed professionally with Vivaldi Concert Dancers, Ozmos, Pillow Dancers and Ballet Horizons. Now a Lifetime member of the Royal Academy of Dance she teaches all levels of Ballet continues to mentor young teachers and dancers teaching «A Love of Dance that lasts a Lifetime».
