Mozart Bakery and Cafe

They changed owners a few years ago, not anything like it used to be, which is to bad!

One of my coworkers bought different types of sweets and pastries from this bakery and brought them to the office for sharing.
I tried a couple items — a shortbread and another chocolate bar (sorry I didn’t know its name). The shortbread was good. The chocolate bar was so hard and tough that I had to chew for a long time. It didn’t taste good as well :(
The quality of the sweets and pastries are not as good as the ones in Great Vancouver. If I have a choice and must buy some sweets in Langley, I would buy them from Cobs Bread, Wire Monk, Starbucks or IGA bakery.
The sweets at this bakery are not too expensive. I would say the price is average in Lower Mainland but I wouldn’t mind to pay more to get a better quality :)

Well I had high hopes for this place when I read the reviews on Unilocal.All the reviews are a bit older so I think the owner has changed since. I ordered a raspberry tiramisu for my wifes birthday. It sounded very good and I was thinking it is going to be amazing especially at that price. Well I was wrong. When we went to eat the cake, the only raspberry that was part of the cake was a raspberry jam spread on top of the cake a few mm thick. Not a trace of real raspberries throughout the cake. The rest of it was hard lady fingers covered in a white cream. The thing that pisses me off is that their site says «raspberry mouse, raspberries, white chocolate gnache, and home made lady fingers» i think every one of those disruptions is a lie. I am not happy to have paid $ 75 for this cake. Could have gotten a way better cake at costco. Don’t waste your money.

One star is a star too many for this lady! I am in aww that this woman is still in business. Worst experience ever. I was told I would receive a phone call when my daughters minion birthday cake was done. Unfortunately I received a call from a distraught woman getting angry that I had not come to pick up the cake. She had told me that if I did not go right away I would not receive the cake. And she had already made me pay half up front. When I had gotten there I paid for the rest of the cake totaling 75 dollars. When I took a look at the cake I was outraged to see I had paid 40 dollars for fondant and the only fondant on there was a tiny little minion that looked as though a preschool child had decorated it. Then she refused to give my money back. And even got angry and started clenching her fist as though she was going to clock me one. This woman is a crook!

I have ordered two cakes on two separate occasions and was immensely pleased each time! All I can say is that the cakes are decadent!

Going mad over their apple turnover. If you have ever had Apple Turnover made by Zaro’s Bakery in New York, this place comes close to the delightful taste. Mmmm… Delish… Delish… I haven’t tried all the other desserts yet, but I sure will be back. Staff are nice. Place is small and cozy… Hidden gem of Walnut Grove;)…

Outstanding Vegan Chocolate Cake … We offered to bring a birthday cake for our friend’s birthday dinner… my wife and myself are vegan … the party was ‘tomorrow’ and it was already after 6pm on a Friday night… so we promptly started our research to find a cake we could eat too.
We knew we had probably started this too late, but continued searching out various bakeries. Everything seemed closed and we were resigned to accepting we were way too late to make this happen. I guess vegan cakes are not a popular item, and require a couple of days notice.
We kept trying and found Mozart Bakery, which is close to where the party was going to be. Emailed them at 6:49pm. Got an automated reply back at 7:09pm with a ph# if you «would like to reach us immediately». I didn’t use that option, but now I’m sure the folks at Mozart would have been on the phone to help us.
(I would’ve called, but felt a little guilt that we’d left it so late, and I didn’t want to impact someone else’s Friday night with our problem.)
Saturday morning 2:24am we received an email from one of the bakers that they could arrange a vegan chocolate cake by noon. What kind of icing would we prefer?
The cake was delicious, everyone at the party asked about it and were stunned when they realized it was vegan.
I’m so happy with the discovery of this bakery. The only reality check for me was the pricey price, but put in perspective I didn’t hesitate because of the situation at that moment. After tasting the cake, there’s no doubt it’s worth it.

Some of the best cookies I’ve ever had (and I am a damn good cookie baker if I may say so)! Service on the other hand… and price not so good but worth the money and indifferent attitude of the clerk.

This is a great bakery with excellent food and cakes and pastries. They have an amazing selection of pastries and treats guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Soups are so good as is sandwiches. I love their brownies and nanaimo bars. A little pricey but worth it. Owners have changed recently and the variety and quality of some items is not quite as good as it once was. The deserts are still really good. The sandwiches and the window display of food products is gone. They used to have great wraps and pizzas and salads in a nice display. Now there is no display and nothing to see anymore. Not a good idea. Place has gone down somewhat since new ownership came in this past summer. I still go for the deserts but now skip the sandwiches cart and miss the pizzas and lunch items because you can’t see them anymore and don’t know if they even have any. Atmosphere is not the same but still fine.

Worth the drive from Seattle. Amazing pizza, sandwiches and desserts especially the strawberry-​banana tart!

My coworker brought in one of these cakes for someone’s birthday and it was *amazing*! It was chocolate (mmm!) with chocolate frosting, and raspberry filling. Being an office full of women it took about 10 minutes for the entire thing to disappear.
I heard that it also has very tasty catering services as well.
