Belle soirée avec mon amoureux. Le coupon tuango nous a permis de découvrir cet endroit. Nous avons eu un bon service attentionné et discret. La nourriture et le vin ont été délicieux. On a moins aimé le dessert.

Went there with a Tuango coupon that someone generously gave us as a gift. My fiancée and I were really looking forward to a nice meal. We were greeted relatively nicely, but over the course of the evening, it felt as though we were either ignored, or completely forgotten. Yes, we got a complimentary bottle of wine with our coupon, but not even once did they come by to ask if everything was ok, or even to refill our water. My fiancée doesn’t drink wine, and we even told this to the waiter at the start of the meal so you’d think he’d offer something else. Not the case. The food took forever to get to us… but it was pretty busy, so I guess it’s somewhat understandable. Our salad appetizers were tasty, but my burger and fries were room temperature at best, and really nothing to write home about. My fiancée’s pasta was ok… but the chicken on top of it tasted like it was either frozen or from a can, and the ‘Italian sausage’ was really bacon… or at least looked like it… and was incredibly salty. We had to ask the busboy for a water refill and to bring us the dessert menu. Turns out though that the dessert was a ‘chef surprise’ and when the waiter finally gave it to us, it was definitely the highlight of the evening. All in all, I would have expected a service that implied they wanted to gain new customers with the Tuango coupons. Instead, we had a waiter that was way more interested in serving other tables where he knew he would be making more tips. Besides, the tip on our table was guaranteed considering they had the nerve to include it as a charge on the bill. Needless to say, we won’t be returning.

First time over there. The patio was very nice and I was with a friend that I have not seen for years. I was expecting so much from this place and I was disappointed. The food was ok but I was expecting much more from this place. First and last time … Too many good restaurants to waste money at this one.

Have been going there with my wife since it opened. Fortunately we have been lucky with quality and service every time we ate there. Summertime you can seat outside and it is very cosy.

avoid this place… their chef should take a cooking class. very poor quality. small portions. It’s expensive and you don’t get the food quality for the price they want you to pay. AVOID it.

Modernized, unpretentious and delicious bistro menu and very reasonable prices. Montréal is undoubtedly a «foodie» city, but for many years was literally in island in the surrounding culinary wasteland. That seems to be changing, notably in Laval, and L’Aromate is a wonderful example. On several visits(yes it is that good) I was struck by the quality of the ingredients, simplicity of presentation, emphasis on natural flavors and the charming(young) staff. Standouts included a «torchon de foie gras de canard» which was essentially a meal in itself, a smoked-chicken Cesar salad, and a fantastic salmon tartare(3 flavors). Accompanied by a judicious selection of your own wines and L’Aromate can deliver a memorable experience at a substantial discount over the downtown restos — highly recommended
