Panda’s Mongolia Express

The rice vermicelli bowl is really quite good, and is a great option for a lunch time take out. And as lazy as it may be, the drive thru is kinda awesome. A great choice for lunch, especially considering Leduc’s limited options.

I ONLY order the hot and sour soup here because it’s the only good thing they have on the menu… their food otherwise is disgusting and honestly you’re taking a gamble with food poisoning. Numerous times I have found pieces of metal from a scrubber for washing dishes in the wonton soup and have taken my family there to do the build your own bowl option hey have. The seafood smelt fishy which means it isn’t fresh and when they cooked it the meats were still half raw and stinky. They buy very cheap low cut meats and it truly reflects in the taste. I was by the restaurant when their chicken was being delivered and it comes in huge clear garbage bags and they were leaking chicken blood all over the ground… the delivery guy and the man int he kitchen accepting the order were setting the bags on the ground outside and then taking their time taking them into the kitchen… it took them over an hour to take 3 bags of chicken into the back… so they sat in the sun on the ground with broken bags… GROSS and unsanitary.

So I find leduc doesn’t have a good selection of ‘Chinese’ food. In saying that I find Panda Hut very good. I usually get the same thing. Ginger beef, chicken fried rice, and spring rolls. I’ve tried other items as well and it’s very good. Their prices are decent as well. Service as well was good. I went through the drive thru a few weeks ago and they forgot to give me my drink and so I waited for them to come back to the window and she proceeded to apologize 3 times and gave me a extra drink. All in all I will definitely go back!

I absolutely love Panda Hut! I’ve gone mostly to the south Edmonton restaurant but have stopped at this one when I’m in Leduc. As far as I can tell the food tastes the same, the restaurant is nice and clean, I’ve never tried the salad bar but it looks good, the service is as fast but the staff… they could use some etiquette lessons. They’re not friendly at all, no eye contact, no welcome or greeting of any kind. It’s sad really because I love the food so much. The drive through is super efficient and that person seems a bit nicer but an overall icy experience.

I’ve had both eat in and take out at this location and both times everyone in my party has been disappointed.
Our family is a regular to the South Edmonton location… And they say it’s the same recipes but they sure don’t taste the same or sit the same in my tummy :-(

Not as good as the one in Edmonton but still good. I went there on a weekday during lunch and found the crowd manageable. They even had an option here of a buffet. The food was done up quickly and tasted ok, usually my wontons taste a little better so this threw me off. They have a play centre in there as well, if you have kids and wanna let them loose. Theres plenty of seating that can accommodate a 30min lunch.
