Historique

Fondé en 1974.

This business began by Caroline Tennant with her love for Mexican food. Dick Williams and Ann Hayes purchased it off of her within a year or 2 and had it for 9 years when it ran at the big old house on Colborne St. Dagmar bought it in 1985 and moved it to Richmond and Piccadilly in 2003. It was in hat location for 10 years before moving to it’s current location at Wharncliffe and Riverside where they have regained parking and great visibility. Thanks London!

Dagmar began dabbling in food when she bought a European deli on Hamilton Rd and ran it for several years. Then she partnered in and purchased The Poacher’s Arms back when it was across from London Life. After she sold that she went into real estate for a year and was in the process of trying to sell a little Mexican restaurant to a couple of fellows. Well that gave her the desire to return to the hospitality industry and she ended up buying it herself! That was how she began this 28 year love affair with Under the Volcano and after 3 locations she has settled into the Wharncliffe Rd location and loves it.
