I was really hoping to like this place. There are SO many elementary schools along Bur Oak, so I was hoping for a bakery that was nut free. Not the case with this place. The first time I tried their products I purchased half a dozen cupcakes with a variety of flavours — mainly to get an idea of what they have to offer. The 2^nd time I went back to purchase some macarons and to pick up a cookie for my hubby to try.
The frosting on the cupcakes was nothing to write home about flavour-​wise. Personally, I prefer buttercream, especially if the cupcake is already sweet. The day after we purchased the cupcakes some of them were already very dry. I wasn’t impressed by that. The 2^nd time I gave them a try the cupcakes were a bit better, moist, but still not a fan of the frosting. It really lacked any flavour. Quality & flavour are just not there.
The macarons were horrible! Not properly made, splitting and cracking in some places and very thick with hardly any flavour between them. Really small for the price too. It almost had the consistency of styrofoam.
At the time, they only offered 1 cake with nuts, so I was really unimpressed by the fact that they wouldn’t be nut free with all the schools in the area. Especially considering that none of the grocery stores near Cornell, Berczy & Greensborough have nut free cakes. It would be really nice to have a nut free bakery in the area to order birthday cakes & cupcakes from.
I have not been back and I don’t plan on being back there.

I walked in with my mum wanting to buy a few cupcakes. was standing there gazing at their cake displays for more than 5 mins and the girl at the cashier never acknowledged us. Its a small store, its understandable for them to have one staff out there for help. and she was already assisting a customer. but I felt I was being so ignored… she had the time to chat with another staff who came from inside. about their make up. but not bother acknowledge us ??? So upset. I walked out. Poor service. Not impressed

This bake shop was local for us so I’d stop by with my kids to pick up a sweet treat every now and again. I’ve tried most of their cupcakes (red velvet, french toast, ferrero rocher, party cake etc.) I must say their cupcakes are all wonderfully decorated, but just taste OK. My kids don’t especially like them (surprising). I find their cakes oily, and the cakes and icing just taste bland. I ordered a special cake from them also for a special occasion and paid $ 60. I found for the size of the cake, and minor customizing it simply wasn’t worth the money. We were also disappointed that the part that had the greeting on the cake was not edible and written with a sharpy!

Ordered a fondant cake for my daughter’s first birthday. Cake tasted amazing but looked unfinished. I had shown a picture of my daughter’s tutu and the staff suggested ruffles for the bottom cake and my heart theme on the top. I was disappointed when it arrived at our party. The cake looked rushed. The number 1 cake topper was not attractive (actually quite awkward looking) and the ruffles didn’t look as delicate as the white/​grey cake they showed me from their gallery. My guests were asking me if I made it implying it didn’t look professional I guess. BUT it tasted great. A lot of their fondant cakes look amazing! I guess mine just wasn’t meant to be. For 200 dollars, I expected a more artisanally crafted cake.

If there was one business I could choose to never visit again, it would be this. I’m so upset at their service and the Ferraro Rocher cake that I ordered for my mom past Mother’s Day.
I ran into their business through Instagram and saw how lovely their pictures looked. I was in search of a Mother’s Day cake for my wonderful mom and saw the Ferraro cake picture they had up on their Instagram. I quickly sent them an email to inquire about my order. The lady on the phone was initially pleasant and I had quickly placed the order on the phone and quickly paid for it through etransfer.
The next day I was scrolling through their Instagram and noted a few other Ferraro cakes that they made were very different in colour than the original picture that I came across. It was a A LOT darker than the original one that was lighter. I emailed them with the picture of their Ferraro cake and called them to confirm.
The lady on the phone said she is the one that will be making the cake and there’s only one Ferraro cake that she makes and they are all the same. I asked her how come some of the pictures look so dark but the one I wanted was very light in colour? She told me it’s the lighting but reiterated they are all the same. I confirmed with her is it a light colour cream sandy beige or like chocolate brown? She kept saying it is not chocolate brown it is light in colour. But I was concerned as this was for my mom on Mother’s Day so I wanted to make sure it was perfect, I asked her are you sure because the various pictures on your Instagram looked brown. She said verbatim «don’t worry your cake will be light, bye» and hung up on me.
I was too nice, why on earth didn’t I call her back for her rudeness? I figure she’s the one making it and as long as it was the right product then it’s fine.
My husband went to pick up the cake on Saturday and when he brought it home it was not the way she had mentioned. The cake was dark brown not the colour I wanted, my mom hates dark colour cakes. I was so upset but there was no time to go look for another Ferraro cake so I just finger crossed it at least tasted good. My mom didn’t complain about the colour because she knew how upset I was but I know she was shocked what ugly colour cake it was. Lastly, they did such a poor job on the «Happy Mother’s Day» message it’s out of alignment and looks horrible.
I will never ever give my business to them again and made sure everyone in my circle has been aware of my poor experience.

My brother and I came here for an afternoon snack. Great fall weather — clear skies and crisp and cool temperatures — great Friday vibes. The service is quick and friendly and the storefront is beautifully decorated — photo frames, great display for the treats, and a chalkboard menu. Even though it’s a walk-​in store and there’s only room to sit and eat outside (1 – 2 tables that seat up to 2 each), it’s a cute shop.
We ordered two cupcakes ($ 3 each) and two cookies (2 for $ 2.75 or $ 1.50 each).
Cupcakes — both had blue icing to go along with the Jays games #cometogether
Batter’s Up: Chocolate base with crumbled peanuts, popcorn pieces, and a chocolate glaze. The icing was decent — light, sweet (but not in the too sweet I wanna throw it out way), and fluffy. The chocolate base was moist and good but, unfortunately, its taste was nothing special. The toppings on this cupcake are aesthetically beautiful and there’s a hope that they’d taste as good as they look but they fell flat for me. By the time I bought it, the popcorn wasn’t crispy but more stale and, overall, the flavours didn’t work together well. A bit on the dry side for the toppings.
Salted Caramel: Chocolate base, salted caramel icing, and a caramel glaze. I liked this cupcake a lot more than the first one. While the cake base is the same — moist but average in flavour, the icing is what differentiates this cupcake. The salted caramel flavour was delicious though I wish it was a bit stronger. I’d recommend this one.
Cookies
Chocolate chip — this was a good chocolate chip cookie. Reminded me of a Tim Horton’s cookie but with more chocolatey taste.
Snickerdoodle — this was probably the best thing I had. While the prices for the cookies are a bit high, this one was yummy and almost worth the price. Buttery — reminds me a bit of plain shortbread — and with the right amount of sweetness. I’d probably go back just for these … and to try another cupcake flavour.
Overall, this is a decent place to get a baked treat in Markham — it’s closeby for me and it could easily cater to the surrounding suburbs. Their cupcakes are mediocre though they have a unique selection of flavours that I have yet to try (e.g. smores, french toast, lemon drop, etc.). Their cookies are good and I’d for sure reommend their snickerdoodles. Their cupcake menu varies from week to week so be sure to check out their instagram and fb pgs. to see what’s in store before you head out.

I was excited to check out Tripl3 Baked when I heard that they make French Toast cupcakes that really taste like french toast. I am always looking for new spots to buy treats near where I work, so when I saw that this bakery is in Markham I had to pay it a visit! I loved how warm and welcoming this little shop is, and the fresh-​baked items are beautifully displayed. All the cupcake flavours available that day are written on the chalkboard and they were all my faves– salted caramel, triple chocolate, plain old vanilla… wonderful selection. I bought an assortment including of course a French Toast one and a couple of their snickerdoodles and headed back to the studio to sample everything. SO DELICIOUS. Moist, flavourful, with icing that wasn’t too over-​the-​top. Will definitely return the next time I want to impress a cupcake lover! Rosie :)

Was expecting the cupcakes to be the light and fluffy sort. Rather it’s one of those thick and heavy sorts, like those 3 dollar loafs you buy in plastic containers from Walmart (not to discredit).

3.5÷5 I’ve been meaning to stop by here for a while. Finally did last weekend when they had their first anniversary special thing happening. it was $ 25 for a dozen cupcakes — but they had so many flavours. Ferror Rocher (they have a nutella filling INSIDE the cake too!), triple chocolate, vanilla, crème brûlée, french toast, salted caramel, lemon meringue etc.
the shop is cute, small and nicely decorated. The staff is friendly and are happy to recommend flavours.
The cupcake itself is good. The cake is moist — not at all dry or crumbly. Now the icing is where it gets a little hmm. I’m partial to a swiss meringue buttercream –which is what this bakery frosts with I believe. However, these frostings are a little tricky and sometimes too much butter can be added making it super buttery. Its good but a little heavy on the butter frosting. I hope they work out the kinks in the frosting recipe but it look’s good so far.

Cute little shop but the cupcakes were nothing spectacular. They have a small selection of flavors.
I tried a few of the flavors and I was not impressed by the icing. Some just had a very light and sweet taste. Icing had a bit of a waxy texture to it. After eating it, I felt like I just wasted a bunch of calories.
I personally will not return.

I really, really wanted to like this place. It’s walking distance (ish) to where I live and the shop is quite cute. The service was warm and friendly, and I love to support local businesses. We tried the red velvet cupcake and the cookie crumble cupcake to bring home (there is little to no seating area), and I thought to myself if these are as good as they look, then it’ll be an awesome place to pick up treats on the way home from work!
Sadly, it wasn’t the case. The cupcakes were the OILIEST I’ve ever had. I haven’t seen things that shiny since The Rock was still in pro wrestling. And the most disappointing part? The cupcakes were a bit… bland. They were quite fragrant and super moist (obviously, with that much butter), but the overall taste was lacking.
For my money, I’ll still vote for Dufflet or Cheesecake Factory’s cupcakes, which can be found in many bakeries and grocery stores in Markham. They did say they specialize more in actual cakes for parties and stuff, but I can only rate what I had right?
Now if you’ll excuse me, I suddenly feel like binge-​watching WWF re-​runs…

If my wife wrote this review, I’m sure she’d give a lower score.
Me: I thought these were ok, definitely not best in city or anything. Just ok and nothing remarkable.
My wife: Not far from supermarket quality.
At these prices, I wouldn’t buy from here again unless this were my only option.

I’d been meaning to pop into this little shop for a while and I finally got a chance last Saturday. It is a clean, cute little place and all the treats they had on display were picture perfect.
We got one red velvet cupcake for $ 3 and I don’t want to be a party pooper but when I see all the bright colours I know they’ve used food colouring. That stuff is bad for you so if I’m paying that much I’d like to know everything is as natural as possible, after all once upon a time all food was organic and it was just called ‘food’. I’m all about supporting local businesses but no matter how pretty something is on the outside, it’s what’s inside that counts…

Located in like a little community of houses and small shops. Lots of available parking on the side of the street.
The cupcakes were great and had some unique flavours like French Toast and Boston cream. $ 15 for half a dozen or $ 2.75 each. I thought the sweetness of the cupcakes were perfect. Sometimes I find that there is too much icing on cupcakes which make them too sweet but these also had the perfect portion of icing. The cake portion of the cupcake was moist and very yummy.
Service was fast and friendly.

Oh my… why is it that I am only finding out about this place now???
Had the triple chocolate cupcake, and it was delicious! Kids loved the sprinkles cupcake…
Will definitely be back to order cookies and cupcakes!

Pink Lemonade was light perfect for the hot summer day. Reeses Pieces was rich and love the chocolate cake base and peanut butter frosting!
