Really tasty West Indian food! My friend and I had curry dinner platters — I got lamb and she got veggie. It was served with rice, naan, a nice little salad and a hit chutney with eggplant. Good amount of food, not too spicy and the staff were sweet and the service was fast :)

Just ok food from a completely empty restaurant today just before noon. Jerk chicken(two dry pieces) and peas with rice(that was actually beans and rice) and a small fresh veg cole slaw(the best part of the meal). It may be the best choice in Milton for West Indian but I will choose to drive further next time I have the craving.

We’ve been driving by this place since we moved to Milton. I had always heard good things, but never made it in. Thankfully, that changed the other night. We went for dinner and were blown away! I had the shrimp curry dinner and my wife and 2 daughters had the butter chicken. I got to sample the butter chicken that my daughter didn’t finish. Everyone agreed it was great. Everything was great. The rice, the naan, the mango smoothie drink my kids ordered. Just incredible. The owners are a husband and wife team and just about the nicest people you could ever hope to meet. I’ll be going back, soon.

We’ve been to many Roti shops in the city and have always voted Benny’s the best. It’s so delicious, just the right amount of seasonings and sauce. It’s our go to place for take out.

What can I say Benny? Let me have your babies. That is what I can say. It’s one of many things I can say to this man. I can say this too: you make a mean roti. 10 bucks for a tummy full o’ fun? I can dig it.

My first time having roti was here. The menu is pretty small but not having had experience with this type of food before, I had questions. The woman at the counter was friendly but less than helpful in explaining what the item were. «It’s a curry roti»… yeah, thanks. It wound up being alright. I wasn’t blown away though and don’t really get all the hype. Also, it was a good thing that I had some emergency cash in the car because they don’t accept plastic.

My taste buds are beyond satisfied with my first visit to Benny’s!!! Chicken Roti sooooooo tasty, juicy and saucy! Medium heat perfect for my white-girl palate. Spicy but not scorching! WILLBEBACKSOON!

One of the best Roti shops around. I live in Brampton but I don’t hesitate to drive to Milton just for one of their roti’s! The lamb and the goat roti’s are my fav’s. I have tried some of the other menu items and never been disappointed. The jerk chicken plate is quite tasty, you also have the option of jerk chicken in a roti. They have daily specials every day of the week. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Huh. I could have sworn I’ve reviewed this place before. Benny’s is a great roti & curry place, and has earned a regular place in our order in rota. I tend to get their boneless jerk chicken on rice n’ peas, and it’s delightful. The only thing that harmed the rating was that one night, as I was planning to make some curry, I thought«I’d like one of Benny’s delightful naan to go with this!» But guess what: They don’t sell the naan as a single item. Really? Not at all? What if someone eats in the shop(I’ve seen people do it! They eat in the shop!) and wants an extra piece? That’s just crazy, in any case. But, yes, good Indian in Milton. It scratches a different itch than Mint Leaf, and I’m glad we have both.

I probably wouldn’t have stepped into this place if it were not for the«CMYE from Another Mother… India» . After my first exposure to roti, I was wanting more. Lo & behold… a roti spot in Milton! Benny’s is located on the corner of Steeles & Ontario, right next to an AYCE sushi restaurant & a Mac’s. It’s very inconspicuous except for BENNY’S in big bold letters. It’s a very small restaurant with a few 4-person tables. You order the food upfront & they’ll take it to you or you can get it to-go. You can also order over the phone for pick-up or delivery. I came for lunch. They’re daily special for a curry plate, but I knew what I was there for. Butter Chicken Roti. And nothing was going to derail me. They offered it in mild, medium, and hot. After my HELLASPICYMEDIUM experience at Mother India, I ordered the medium here. HAHA. What can I say? I like it with HEAT… But I was sorely disappointed. Their medium is more like a mild. Midway through my roti, I was shocked to hear a lady’s order for(and I quote) «very very very very very mild.» She definitely couldn’t take the heat. Eh, to each their own. My butter chicken roti was good. Not the best I’ve ever had, but definitely a great addition to quick lunchtime spots in Milton. I would’ve liked it to be saucier, spicier, bigger… The sauce was definitely lacking. I had way too many dry bites. I started«rationing» the sauce so my last bites would have some. I am eager to try the other roti menu items. I’m definitely going for«hot» next time. Last thing: cash or debit. My Bank of America debit card ain’t worth ish up here… so this was a good place to use up my coins.
