Mark began his career as an accountant working in the accounting department of a full service brokerage firm in 1990. After that, Mark has worked within a range of industries including telecommunications, internet, airline, retail, logistics and biotechnology. During the last 15 years of Mark’s career in the private sector, he has consistently held the titles of Corporate Controller, Director of Finance, and/​or Vice President of Finance. Mark has built a very successful track record while working in organizations ranging from small start up’s through to some of Canada’s largest organizations. Along the way, Mark has successfully raised millions of dollars of financing for companies, and has successfully completed, from idea to completed transaction, several mergers and acquisitions. Mark realized that small businesses was an area that was under served by the accounting profession, and as he prefers to be ‘part of the solution’ he opened Numbers Plus Ltd.
