Paramount Butcher Shop

Best butcher shop I have visited, the marinated food as well as the other meats are always fresh and excellent. Prices are good and quality is impeccable.
Tried out the new Paramount Tandoori chicken quarters today, milder spice than the traditional tandoori (which I love) but with a nice twist of fresh garlic and coriander.
Lamb chops, for those who are fans, were on special at an excellent price today and the staff was nice to tell us. But not being a fan of lamb, I did not pick it up.
Have tried their steaks before (Fathers Day 2015) and followed the instructions the guy who was packing it gave me … they were perfect and my boys absolutely loved them.
Would recommend this place with no hesitation.

Probably the best meat shop I have ever been to in the entire North America. Great service, great variety, decent prices.

Yes, the prices are higher than you’d find in your typical grocery store — but the quality here is also higher than at a grocery store.
In this case, you do get what you pay for.

This place is halal meat heaven. Incredibly clean and well-​organized, and they have every kind of meat and cut you can think of. They also have pre-​marinated stuff as well as ready-​to-​cook things like chicken nuggets. Plus, they carry sides to enjoy with your meat, like labneh, sauces and pickled vegetables. The staff is incredibly sweet as well. I always go here even though it takes me nearly half an hour. But it’s worth it!

We really enjoy paramount the restaurant at Erin Mills on Eglington avenue in Mississauga. When you go there as much as we do you get used to the quality and friendliness as a guest. That same quality is fitting for the butcher shop. Even better then take out is grilling it yourself on the bbq. Pricing is fine for the quality. It’s probable that this place is the finest in the city.

The best halal butcher in town! The shop is extremely clean and staff are always attentive to your needs. I absolutely love their steak and marinated ground beef. I’m trying their chicken wings this weekend! It is pricey but worth every penny.

This place is extremely clean from what you can see in the front. I’ve been here several times. As someone who wants to believe they are paying a premium for top quality cuts, I’m still undecided. I can’t confirm if the chicken is free range, grain fed or pumped with antibiotics. I can say this from repeated, numerous observations here… don’t ask the staff to do anything over and beyond package your food. They will talk smack about you to eachother right in front of you. It’s been disappointing to see this happen almost every time I’ve been in there. They should appreciate having a job and happily provide customers service as per their requests.

Love this place. Very fresh, high quality meat at very reasonable prices. I inquired about the beef and lamb provided and found they are fed a mixture of grass/​corn, which is definitely a premium feed which produces the best meat. The service is equally excellent and I’ve been impressed at how friendly and knowledgeable the butchers here are. They had great suggestions for how to cook the meat and very patient in helping me decide on how best to cut certain meats. Great selection of meats and you can get everything cut to your liking. I will be stopping by for all my meat shopping in the future!

I’ve shopped here several times and it is by far the best butcher shop I’ve been too. The butcher shop is extremely clean and elegant and you are treated by very professional staff. Tony is always there to great you with a smile and will answer and questions and help in any way he can. The quality of The food is exceptional. The fact that it’s Halal makes it even better! There is so much to choose from in this butcher shop. From the hot sauce, to the garlic sauce and all of the marinated meats you can’t go wrong with this place. Try one of there several restaurants as well. I’ve eaten at 3 of them. Great places! Great food, great service, great prices.

The quality of the meat here is very good, it is a bit on the pricey side but I think its worth it. I’m not that impressed with the customer service side. For example if I compare it to Iqbals in Thorncliffe, where you can ask staff to clean the meat and package it how you want without getting bad looks, then I think they still have some work to do. Also I think Iqbals do a better job of cleaning the cuts than these guys.
I remember coming here once close to closing time and asking for some chicken, the guy actually made a remark to me that it was near closing time and that he was surprised I had come in to order food, which I thought was somewhat stupid– after all you are running a business, its not the kind of thing you should say to your customers.
All in all a good place but they need to work on their customer service skills.

Everything about this place is devine!
The workers are friendly, smily and helpful. The décor is beautiful and invitingThe store is absolutely pristine and sparkly!
The selection… it has everything from lamb chops yo marinated shish taouk… to sausages and cold cuts. It even has beef bacon.
The quality is top notch. I got the montreal style turkey and it was just so good. As a nutritionist I shy away from cold cuts, but knowing all of the meat comes from his own slaughter house and everything is made in house, I know that it has alot less preservatives than other brands. Thats another thing. 100% halal not a single doubt in my mind. They raise and slaughter their own meat. Its fantastic!
Price is also very comparable to the market. It is by no means more expensive or cheaper.

This place is VERY impressive! i have been to many halal meat shops and grocers and to be honest cleanliness and quality are left to be desired. This is certainly NOT the case with Paramount. A spin off the ultra delicious and successful paramount restaurant this is a butcher shop of very high standards. The Quality of the meat Itself is amazing and will compete with any high end butcher shop. The staff are very pleasant and insightful and most of all IT’S CLEAN. When I say clean, it’s spotless !! Highly recommend.

This is probably the best halal butcher in Toronto, perhaps Canada. Paramount is doing something nobody else has, and thank them for it — they are bringing a boutique style high end butcher to the halal (or non-​halal) market. They have done a wonderful job and I hope the community supports them. Thanks for bringing this gem to Mississauga.
There restaurant near Dixie and Eglinton is also excellent if you’re hungry for some great Lebanese food.

They clean an cut your meat the way you like it at no extra cost!

I drove over here expecting the usual nondescript mall I’ve seen over the years and low and behold I was SHOCKED to see this amazing butcher place take over the corner. With gorgeous wood, shiny silver accents, and large windows, it beckons you in to stroll around and just be in awe of the amount of meat hanging around you.
I’ve never seen a halal butcher place like this before. This rivals any high end supermarket regardless of type. Mark McEwan… take notes cause this place is possibly better than yours. For starters, it’s spotless… everything gleams including the floors and corners. The air is fresh and not a single things smells and considering the amount of meat in that place, that is a feat. There is everything from a prepared fresh meat section where meat selection are marinated for you to a huge area of just freshly butchered to a deli section ANNNND this does not include the huge meat curing area behind the counters, the butcher section, or the frozen meat and fresh olive area.
I bought some chicken and beef from here and I can say that the quality is far and above what I get at the grocery store… and the secret is that it is slightly cheaper than them too! I’ll be back here again to try more items. Especially the marinated section where the Mediterranean flavours are in full force (lamb kabobs, yogurt and spices marinated chicken… yes please!)
The service is welcoming as well and very helpful. They have great suggestions and even offer ways to cook it so it’s optimal. Also, as mentioned previously, the prices are spot on for the quality. I don’t feel ripped off one bit. If you’re in the area and want to do some BBQ or cook a slab of meat, definitely make this your pit stop. You will not be disappointed!

I’m from San Francisco, but most of my family is in the GTA. My mother-​in-​law introduced me to this newly-​opened establishment. I wasn’t expecting much, especially since it’s located in a nondescript strip mall a few blocks from Square One, but my oh my — was I surprised. Going in felt like being transported to San Francisco — I could see this place fitting right in the Ferry Building at the Embarcadero, competing with the fresh and organic meats from local farms in the region. I was seriously impressed — the ambiance was great, the service was excellent, and the meats looked so fresh and delicious — I almost wanted to have a barbeque in 8 degree weather! They also had cooked meats, like the rotisserie chicken fresh from the oven — which we ended up getting because it just smelled so good, along with a jar of mustard and marinade (which were also good!).
I really hope the neighborhood supports this business — Mississauga needs more establishments like these!
