This is the Running Room I have done all my half marathon clinics out of(currently on # 4), which speaks for itself really. I made a ton of very close friends from joining the clinics and would recommend it and do recommend it to anyone that will listen! The store itself is a decent size and located in the Square One ‘hub’ if you will. This can be seen as both a positive and negative. Some people dislike going anywhere near Square One as it is usually quite busy. The upside is you have shopping and food nearby so you can do all your errands in the same location. Here is the real reason for not giving 5 stars — the prices. The shoe prices are typical and you cannot expect major discounts on them. However the clothing prices are extremely expensive. I have only purchased one shirt(from the sale rack) here. They do have a vast array of gel and electrolyte options which is a plus. If you’re thinking about joining a clinic you should definitely come on a Wednesday and/or Sunday for the free group run to try it out!

This is my local running room so I am of course quite partial to it, but for good reason! Running room has clinics for all types of runners — learn to run, 5k, 10k, half marathon and full marathon. As long as you are prepared for the group you are part of, you will have a great time. The staff is pretty good at ensuring that people don’t sign up for clinics they aren’t capable of(the full marathon especially!). If you retake a clinic, you get a discount on the usual $ 69.99 — something around $ 45 I think. The clinics have instructors, leads and running manuals to keep you in check. I usually join them simply for the motivation. Especially in the cold winter months! There are also free runs on Wednesdays and Sundays if you want to join a friendly group of runners! Great assortment of shoes, tech socks, clothing, supplies — pretty much everything you need to start and continue a successful running career. I only give 4⁄5 stars because of the prices. A lot of the products are REALLY expensive. It’s to be expected with technical gear, but I generally get my clothes elsewhere unless I have a coupon. However, with every purchase you accumulate points and once you get 5000 points(equivalent of $ 500 spent) you get a $ 10 gift certificate in the mail. The free running room magazine also sometimes has coupons in the back for 15−25% off certain things(shoes, electronics, coats, etc). All in all, a great location, and a great place!

I am a huge fan of the Running Room stores. As an avid runner, they have all my running needs met. Yes, the prices are a tab bit inflated but that is what you get for a specialty store. I stopped in last night to pick up some gels for my long run this weekend and the running room associate was super helpful. I even picked up a few gels she recommended. This location is right beside Square One, you can’t miss it. It is a great addition to the area. Like the rest of the Running Rooms across the country, they have running group meetups on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings. Go get your run on — visit a Running Room near you!
