Square One GO Bus Terminal

I’ve only ever been to the Square One GO Bus Terminal for pick-​ups. It’s convenient because:
Location: Central Mississauga, close to you if you reside in Mississauga.
Parking: There’s plenty of parking in Square One. But for GO pickups, I prefer parking in Chapters’ lot.
Coffee: The Chapters/​Starbucks. #nuffsaid
Careful, this place is a bit of «Accident central.» The buses crowd around like no other. Don’t speed. Drive slow.

Although this place is convenient but its not the best. Summer time its great to stand outside but hey! in winter its a killer. There is no indoor place to wait for the bus, you will have to freeze to dead till to wait for a delayed bus. The closed place is Starbuck and not all stops are visible from standing inside.
the only great thing they have done in recent years is have an ticket office near the stop location. Much needs to be done and can be done!

For all those involved, i.e. drivers (of both cars & buses), passengers, passengers who become pedestrians, and regular pedestrians, this area in between Chapters/​Playdium is a COMPLETE NIGHTMARE!
I was attempting to make a left-​hand turn into the Chapters parking lot and was in complete shock as to how dangerous this «terminal», a.k.a. literally the side of a busy street, was for the passengers/​pedestrians alike. As a driver, I was waiting what seemed to be an eternity for the coast to clear.
And as soon as I got into the parking lot, it was another disaster with cars idling, waiting for the passengers in an unofficial pick-​up area, lining the front of Starbucks/​Chapters and surrounding lot. As I tried desperately to find a spot, there were inconsiderate drivers making their own spots by idling at the end of the row, barely leaving enough clearance for legit customers to drive through.
I don’t know if this «terminal» is a GO Bus or a city problem, but there is neither enough infrastructure in place for the amount of cars who pass by this area NOR safety precautions for the amount of passengers who use this popular bus-​stop. This area was much quieter a decade ago, but now it’s time to upgrade it OR remove it altogether!
It literally reminded me of Kipling, on a Friday evening, during rush hour. Cars/​buses/​people = EVERYWHERE. I am surprised to hear that there aren’t any hit ‘n runs or car accidents here.
Tip: If you’re trying to get into this Atmosphere/​Jack Astor’s/Scaddabush/Chapters/Starbucks lot, turn @ Duke of York. NO ADVANCED GREEN tho’, so it can get a bit backed up there as well, but at least you won’t have a ginormous bus stop/​pedestrians to contend with!
