I don’t see the Streetsville location here for the Wind Mobile store, so I have to chose this one. My complaint is about the customer service which is TERRIBLE. Once they have sold you the phone and the mobile service, don’t dare have a question or an issue, you’re screwed. No help what so ever! In fact condescending would be a great word!

ZERO stars, but I have to put at least one. We just got a mobile device and with it we got a line. A very big mistake. We got the Sony Xperia ZL that my wife wanted to buy for some time. We purchased the phone and paid for it completely, because of credit issues, which I don’t mind anyways because we want to have the phone. However, the network is grade 3rd country and even worse, and believe me we’ve been there. We are paying 40 – 55 $/month, and we get the same level of service that we receive in some of the 3rd world countries. This is a joke, if we were not moving to somewhere else anyway, I would not have stayed a 3rd week. I can’t call my wife! We get noises on the line and half of her speech is unclear and every other syllable is cut out. We get call drops all the time. Every time I call her line it does not connect. I give up calling her after the third time. I mean why even bother, how on earth are they making money with this lousy service. If we were not moving after one month, I would not have stayed another week. I just don’t want the hassle of switching, since I am going to cancel in one month anyway. They really don’t deserve our money and certainly not $ 40/month. I pay $ 31.50 with Koodo, and I get 100% service, and there is no roaming with them. I call anywhere from anywhere and I I don’t have to pay extra. With Wind, if you are on the move, you will pay a lot of extra charges for roaming. Unfortunately for us, Koodo did not carry this phone. I was just so upset with their service that I had to write this review. I know three friends that did not recommend Wind, only unfortunately after we got the line. They got the service and switched after a couple of weeks. I certainly do not recommend them. This is not a plug for Koodo, it is just a comparison reference because I am with them. I most certainly do not recommend to go running back to the big 3, you still have alternatives, but don’t take Wind, it is certainly not a good choice at all; not from our experience. I do know that Koodo is part of Telus, and the other companies have 2 – 3 other sub-companies, but still their format might be better for you than being actually with one of the main big 3.

Last month I realized that I needed a second line and was looking into getting a landline vs a mobile with another company vs another line with WIND. In the end I chose to stick with WIND since nobody else can compete price-wise and I have been very happy with the service they’ve provided over the past year. I continue to sing their praises! I have seen improvements in coverage area quickly happening since I became a customer. For example, this past summer I didn’t get reception beyond Burlington when I went towards the border and now I have WIND service all around wine country and right up to the border! Exciting times! And the money I have saved by tethering my phone to the computer and NOT paying Rogers for internet… priceless!
