Cycle Logic is such a conundrum. You get two entirely different experiences depending on which of the two guys working there talks to you. There’s one grouchy guy, and one pleasant guy. The grouchy one makes me want to turn around and take my business elsewhere, while the nice one makes me want to keep coming back and tell all my friends. So I’m telling all my friends. They’re reasonably English-friendly for being this far east, but the grouchy guy’s gonna roll his eyes at you for it. And if you come in with an old bike with old, worn out parts, Groucho’s going to tell you they don’t make those parts anymore and there’s nothing they can do about it. But then the nice guy will come along, tell you he’ll do his best to fix it, and if he can’t fix it, he’ll replace it with the closest he can find. Grouchy guy’s gonna argue with you when he rings up something at a higher price than it’s labeled, and then is going to argue with the nice guy about how the prices are too low and how are they going to make any profit when he keeps lowering the prices. Nice guy will smile and will try to squeeze in your bike to be fixed a day earlier. So…look at shopping here as a free comedy routine, and don’t get too put out if the grouchy guy is mean to you. Just avoid him when possible and go straight to the nice guy — it won’t be too hard to figure out which is which.
