Atigh O.

Gérant de commerce

Montréal’s Mile End is a vibrant multicultural community of artists, musicians, writers, filmmakers, spiritual leaders, café owners and restaurateurs. It is also home to Atigh Ould. Bursting with positive energy, Atigh’s unique brand of culture, humour and his timeless generosity have made him renowned not just in the area, but in the award winning documentary films he stars in, the Nomad festival he organizes each year in Montréal, his numerous interviews with Radio Canada and other media, and of course, for the brand of hibiscus products that bears his name: «Atigh’s.»

Atigh is not a Mile End native, he is a nomad. He grew up in Ividgaren, a village in Mauritania, West Africa. He honoured the rich nomadic tradition of his ancestors through his legendary hospitality. He did this in the way he knew best– inviting friends to dine with him at the restaurant he founded: La Khama — ‘The Nomad Tent.’ There, Atigh forges rich and lasting relations with all whom he meets.
