An Artisan Bakery focusing on natural and certified organic ingredients (where possible) in all our baked goods. Products include breads, muffins, cookies, pastries, pies, cupcakes, and more! Certified Fair Trade and Organic coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are also served.

We are known for our Cinnamon Buns and our «Choffee», the best drink after a walk on a cold beach!

A small sitting area allows for customers to eat-​in with a picnic table outside.

Free Wi-​Fi internet access is available.

Dobbit Bakehouse also has a stall at the Musquodoboit Harbour Farmer’s Market on Sundays, 9am-​noon during the winter.

Historique

Fondé en 2008.

Since opening, the bakery serves folks on their way to work, children after their trip to the library, hikers, bikers, surfers, beachcombers, locals and visitors.

The moto is «Local. Natural. Needs.» We use as local ingredients as possible, many of them certified organic. Our processes exclude any manufactured additives and ingredients with unpronouncable components. Everyone needs healthy, wholesome food.

The bakery believes in sustainable practices with minimal impact on the planet. Reducing, reusing, and recycling combined with aggressive composting procedures helps us in that goal.

After 20+ years in the High Tech industry, Paul Nicholl went back to school. He attended the Boulanger program at NSCC with the intent of opening a bakery, his lifelong dream.
